The states could refuse to issue marriage licenses now that the feds have taken it over. Start another word for man-wife marriage.

Better idea, don’t issue marriage licenses to sodomite “couples.” Then pist state police to protect court clerks offices and vital registry departments. What could Uncle Sam do then? Checkmate!

Post, not “pist”. We really need an edit function.

This is a great piece. First thing I did as soon as the decision was handed down was to email my three County Commissioners and urge them to “Refuse and Resist.”

(By noon, my county was issuing faux licenses.)

My state’s Republican governor, Haslam, fell all over himself with his immediate direction to immediately comply - and so they did.

I have not heard back from them, or my State Rep who I also contacted. But, they will hear from me.

We are in the last ditch.

You don’t think Romney would have put rainbow floodlights on the White House? Dream on.

HOLY Matrimony is provided by the church. The uniting of a man and a woman is the only HOLY union there is.

Their father is a Southern Baptist pastor who is concerned about how to respond to request to perform queer marriages.

And doesn't that about say it all? Where has he been for the past seven years? On Mars?

There it is and you have the right idea. The intrusion of the State into Marriage is for the most part a recent phenomena. Up ,until say 150 years or ago, so all marriages were of a religious nature.

The State got involved probably for a number of reasons, generating more revenue for one, controlling marriage in who and how people got married was another.

Take the State out of the equation and yesterday’s ruling becomes moot to a great degree. In fact I think Alabama has or is going to pass a law getting the state out of the marriage business.

It boggles the mind that the court came to the conclusion it did on unnatural marriage if they were using the constitution.
We now know that Kennedy doesn’t give a damn what the words say. What matters is if he can baffle everybody with enough sophisticated sounding bullcrap and have them forget he’s supposed to be talking about the document called the Constitution.

They ask for equal dignity in the eyes of the law. The Constitution grants them that right.”

The explanation displays prejudice. The law cannot dignify the undignified. It cannot dignify what is base and disgusting and animalistic. People who define their entire being and lives by and around a deviant sex act have no dignity.

Balderdash. Don’t expect elected kleptocrats to do much of anything other than increase their power and wealth. Conservatives and Christians did show up in 2014. They elected the most “conservative” candidates that the uniparty would allow. How’s that been working out?

the secret to being conservative and free is to resolve to be conservative and free on a personal level. It has nothing to do with asking permission of our “betters” in political offfice.

Good for them. The churches and atheists who also find homosexuality vile and repulsive can put pressure on their state reps to do the same. That way everyone is happy. Christians can still take vows and get married, heterosexual atheists can still live together and make their own vows, and the homos and radical leftists can still enjoy their unnatural, kinky sex fetishes.

The battle is already lost. Washington is corrupt and the Constitution has been trashed. There is no opposing source of power that can stop the total destruction of America. Nullification, what a joke. Waited too long to destroy the communists empire of King Obama.

"Nullification is the right answer. Courageous leadership then is the essential ingredient. That ingredient might be lacking."

I agree, Nullification is the answer. I support convention of the states but in some cases, like this one, Nullification is the only answer.

States must act swiftly in response to an unconstitutional act by the federal government.

The Republican RINOs like what oboma has done. It doesn't matter what they "say." Politicians lie. It's what they "do" that tells the real story.

If elected in 2016, they're not going to do anything about obomacare. In fact, they're going to tweak it a little and make it "better."
They're not going to do anything about the fudge packers pretending to be married, either. Heck, they probably have just as many closet queers in Washington as the democrats! (Why would I think that? Because the Republicans protected this abomination as much as the sicko left did. What does that tell you?)

This week on the business channels all the talk was about consolidation(M&A)of the big healthcare providers. They too are in the process of creating their own "too big to fail"...as that's now become a profitable business model...for corporate exec's, lawyers and their puppet politicians...(too bad for the saps holding the bag).

...only this particular model has a more ideological(along with the usual financial)goal.

They will become one...then big(corporate owned)global gov. becomes...THE ONE.

...think we're seeing this already in a lot of industries...airlines, media, maybe even farming.

Two big guys join hands, then crush the smaller competition and proceed to make the rules(through paid politicians/courts)to prevent future competition...and always with the same reasoning of...

"...we must do this to stay competitive in this new global economy"...yada, yada...

...heh. you mean the one they deliberately created themselves, for themselves?

(guess you can fool all of the sheeple all of the time)

From the majority opinion:

"... it must be emphasized that religions, and those who adhere to religious doctrines, may continue to advocate with utmost, sincere conviction that, by divine precepts, same-sex marriage should not be condoned. The First Amendment ensures that religious organizations and persons are given proper protection as they seek to teach the principles that are so fulfilling and so central to their lives and faiths, and to their own deep aspirations to continue the family structure they have long revered. The same is true of those who oppose same-sex marriage for other reasons."

These are the words of none other than Justice Kennedy himself, writing for the Majority. It would seem that the Court has (nominally) addressed the religious issue.

But as we've seen, it won't stop here. The fag-scists will continue to press until the decision is purely black and white: either you support faux marriage or you don't. Not supporting it will become criminal, all the Supreme Court equivocations notwithstanding.

Historically, Republican presidents have batted no better than 50% when picking Supreme Court appointments. Reagan gave us Scalia and Kennedy. Bush I gave us Souter and Thomas. Bush II gave us Roberts and Alito.

Democrats on the other hand always manage to pick ideologically pure and reliable far left-wing liberals.
