5 Percent Nation is a Nation of Islam spin off group from the 60s. I had a post with some pictures on FR but an overzealous mod deleted it (in two separate threads).
Jay-Z wore a 5 Percent Nation medallion courtside to some basketball game. Jay-Z also pals around with Obama.
The rapper Rakim is also a member and Coca Cola put his lyrics on the side of a Sprite can (along with texts by other black rappers). A piece I read in the Guardian (about rappers and advertising) said that one of the variant cans was a litany of Rakim’s 5 percent nation beliefs (like the pillars of Islam) however the can I saw pictured for Rakim had other text.
Here is the wiki page. Maybe the mod didn’t like the potty mouth (I posted a redacted version of the word) that a member used in a Vice magazine article quoted in the Wiki page.

I’d be curious... it’s possible that since most people don’t understand Arabic that something really hinky and hokey got onto a beverage can, the agent who did it just saying it was some slogan.
