I may by mistaken, but didn’t California reject gay marriage? If they can’t even pass it there, why is SCOTUS legislating from the bench? Obamacare and marriage in one week. That’s pretty bold of them.

Yep. The voters rejected it by a large margin if i remember. Then the court overruled the will of the people.

Yep. It was Prop 8 in November of 2008. That election, the intolerant voters of California rejected gay marriage AND voted for a President who was against gay marriage.

I may be mistaken, but didnt California reject gay marriage?Yes, twice! The only way gay marriage takes place was because it was adjudicated. The majority of CA voters are against changing the legal definition of marriage.
Sure wish my NV Gov. would man up and follow Abbott's lead but he's more of a Boehner Republican.

California voters- outright majority, twice. Both times, overturned by a judge.

Yes. California rejected gay marriage. However, the will of the people was overridden by the judiciary.
