Providing for education is in the constitution of the state, so vouchers are the most reasonable approach without having to amend the constitution.

Sorry, NO. The State may lay the blueprint for a ‘free’ public education, but that STILL flies in the face of the 5th.

Property taxes ensure what one is paying for is never truly THEIRS. If one has no children, or home-schools, then it is taken w/out “..just compensation”.

There is NOTHING for free. It is a service, like everything else in life. Pay for it as you use it, get someone else to VOLUNTARILY pay, have volunteers teach, do it yourself or piss off.

It is NOT up to your neighbor(s) to pay for the choice(s) YOU may make.

Thank you for your service. I apologize for being a jerk. Seriously I really am. I can’t explain why I like to debate but I do it horribly too. I am glad that your kids are doing great missionary work for us and that they turned out so well. I hope that you will in time forgive me for my nonsense posts this afternoon. I am sincerely sorry.

Me as well! Forgive me for my sarcasm and hurtful words. There is so much going on right now in this country, wrath is the easy road. If we Love like Jesus, which is so difficult, we can make it through anything.

It is so hard living in America right now and I NEVER thought I would say such a thing. Even when Clinton was President, I wasn’t so frustrated and he was bad enough. At least with Clinton, the Republicans were at least SOMEWHAT decent and at times stuck up for the American people. But what changed between Clinton and Obama.....the voters and basically the American public. I was talking to some High School Friends on Facebook today (on Messenger because goodness knows if you write your true feelings those that are for gay marriage are all over you).....so we were saying how much changed since we graduated and what are children have witnessed in their young lives and what the heck this place is going to look like in 20 years.......All of us were very down today and moreso kinda scared at the prospect of what is to come. It is not pretty.....we all graduated from Catholic high school and actually quite a few were in my grade school at St. Francis so I have known them a long time and they never really were so pessimistic about the future. My wife and I would love to move to another planet quite frankly.....lol.......maybe that is why I am so spacey at times. HAHA. Anyway I hope we have a better future but only time will tell.....Take care and have a great weekend. Bob

I don’t have an issue if its to attend government schools, but it shouldn’t be mandated for private schools or home schooling. Also IMO people who opt out of government schools for private/home schooling should not be forced to pay for them. Heck I think people who are childless or no longer have children shouldn’t be forced to pay for other peoples kids, there your responsibility not mine
