President Barack Obama on Friday welcomed the Supreme Court decision to give same-sex couples the right to marry. In a speech in the Rose Garden, Obama called the ruling justice "with a thunderbolt." The president acknowledged that many Americans have religious objections to the high-court decision. "Today should also give us hope that the many issues we grapple, often painfully, real change is possible," he said. The president said the ruling was the result of small acts of courage by ordinary Americans that made the country realize that "love is love."

Well no, it was not driven from the law side here. It was driven from the vice side. They covet the fame, the name, and then not even (mostly) to use them, but just that they sit there as a symbol.

1 Samuel 7:10 shows the fire/thunder connotation in a different way, such as when Samuel was offering a burnt sacrifice, God “thundered” upon the Philistines when they were ready to attack.

Yes, it sounds like something that a false deity like Thor would come up with. Not the God of the Bible!

So thinking back to an earlier post, yes, the controversy is about a “word”. Gay couples, so that they can command more respect, want to be called “married”.
My God, is the Supreme Court supposed to rule on the question of what a pair of gays is called?
