Well, I'll admit that my thinking on how secession should proceed is a little more involved than simply gathering a magical number of people somewhere between 1 and several million (since, as you say, it's not allowed for individuals and obviously allowed for several million) and then invoking the magic words "self evident truths" that instantly turns you into a different country and gives you all the property of the nation you've divided from that happens to be in whatever geographic area you now claim as your own.
I see it proceeding just like that Russian Social Scientist predicted some years back. The US will break up into six parts along natural and existing demographic fracture lines, and for exactly the reasons he put forth.

The whole thing is contingent on a financial collapse, and such a thing is d@mned hard to predict with any accuracy because so many people are working so hard to keep confidence in the confidence game, going. There are millions of busy little hands trying to prop up this whole mess. When the public finally loses confidence in the currency, then the whole house of cards will collapse.
At what point will the rubes wake up and realize their stored value is stolen? I don't know, but when they finally do, do you doubt it is going to turn ugly?
What is your financial savvy? How much of our economic activity is the result of pump priming with borrowed federal dollars and how much of it is real?

Drug abuse - which includes alcohol abuse - is a problem that is only made much worse by criminalization.
I have been saying for quite some time that the reason dope and queers are surging at the same time is because both of them are different aspects of the same evil forces on the march. There's a difference between the price of something rising because of scarcity and increased demand and inflation. One could just as easily argue that we have deflation because some things are cheaper now than they were. I remember REAL inflation, back in the 1970s, and this is nothing like that.
Another trick I have noticed is that they reduce quantity of food items, while charging the same price. They are trying to sneak the inflation past the consumer.
Businesses attempting to maximize their profits by manipulating package size are not the same as inflation.

I’m not going to say the problem because:

2. It will start an interminable discussion about the problem that you-in-your-haze will want to prolong until the end of time and I don’t have time for.

I just stick by my earlier assertion:

From which it in no way follows that alcohol is not one of the drugs whose overuse has contributed to the troubles we are facing in our country.
