Soon after the Supreme Court salvaged a key part of the nations Affordable Care Act on Thursday, Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe was rallying the troops in the state capital to expand Medicaid under the law.
[N]ow is the time to drop cynical efforts to prevent families from accessing care that will make their lives better, McAuliffe said in a written statement. With this issue decided, I hope we can now put partisan politics aside and . . . close the coverage gap.
McAuliffe (D) led a pitched and ultimately unsuccessful battle to add 400,000 uninsured Virginians to the Medicaid rolls during his first year in office, taking the state to the brink of a government shutdown in an attempt to expand coverage for the poor under the new federal law.

Not a shot, McAwful.
OK Terry, show us the Money.
KMA, bagman.
I still can’t believe Clinton’s Bag Man got himself elected as Virginia’s Governor.
HE END OF MEDICAID
It started on Jan 1st 2015.
It’s called the dual special needs program (D-SNP)
ObamaCare is paying about 12k/year to HMOs to manage Medicaid. The goal is to push everyone onto these plans then eventually phase out Medicare/Medicaid entirely. How are the plans? Awesome. UHC pays you $79/mth to be on the plan.
Imagine you have a medicaid spend down and only are allowed 806/mth. Now imagine someone comes along with a health plan that is everything you already have, plus it pays you $79/mth and is doesn’t count against your medicaid spend down. Are you going to jump all over that? You bet your ass you will.
That’s the start, folks. By 2016, everyone who is 65+ years old and on Medicaid, or disabled for 24 months and on medicaid will be on this plan. It’s simply too good. Then they start downsizing Medicaid until they fire all the government employees and your Health Care is in the hands of an insurance company. This is the beginning of the end of Medicaid.
