They all seemed pretty relaxed like this is a regular traffic stop. Just fyi, you can make your own conclusions.
The arresting team have their big national moment, and their radio is blaring commercials.
I actually was shocked when I saw this dashcam video. Something smells...
There are southerners, they are less likely to be all hysterical and excitable.
The arrest looks like it went fine.
He gave a turn signal and pulled over, kept his hands visible, didn’t make any moves. It would have been easy for him to “suicide by cop” if he really wanted to die ... if he had waved the gun around I suspect those cops would have shredded him.
Seemed very chill for a felony stop on a mass murderer. Odd.
Hey, they knew he was out of ammo because he was unable to shoot himself. A witness said he put a gun to his head, and it went click, lol.
If they had positive ID on the car, they were awfully mellow for a felony stop.
These guys must have a Valium salt lick in the donut room back at the station.

I’ve never heard the radio blaring on a dashcam. That’s just not professional.
I find this very very very odd. I just, who knows. Maybe he yelled don’t shoot, I surrender. I’d like to see the police report. Because usually if you kill any amount of persons in cold blood with little to no motive the first cop that finds you is going to call in about 10 other cars, THEN pull your ass over, pull their guns and make you get out and walk about 50 feet away from your car, then have you lay face down on the ground with your hands stretched out above you.

I concur. Don’t need a conspiracy theory when it is not present. People need to keep looking for aliens or Bigfoot/911/JFK etc.

I’m not a conspiracy guy either and maybe the cops in the south are so relaxed, but its just odd for a guy who murdered 9 people and the ramifications we all knew from the instance this happened...
Another thing I’m wondering is why aren’t there any Other pictures of this moron acting like a billybadass redneck, Besides those we’ve seen that look like they were all taken at the same time?
You would think that after seeing ‘JFK’ they would think to produce a more plausible patsy.

The police seemed a teeny little bit jumpy to me, but far more relaxed than I would be in the same circumstances.
They may have been trying to keep things calm because any shooting would have likely affected the people at the store right across the street, or the house or business of the driveway they were in. People were driving up and down the road the whole time too - oblivious. A lot of civilians around who could have been hurt or killed if things went downhill.
We don’t know how much these police officers knew at the time, either.
Maybe they were hoping to get information out of him. Glad they caught him either way.
I agree very strange tactics for a high risk stop for sure.
Where were the rifles and shotguns.
Approaching a vehicle like they did when a known shooter is in side is what gets police officers killed.
I would think the approach was not how they were trained.
