Jurassic World was an instant box office hit when it opened in theaters two weeks ago. But now, moviegoers are noticing details that arent sitting well with some people.
The uproar started when moviegoers began complaining about one of the dinosaur species in the movie called Pachycephalosaurus:
The long name led to an abbreviation used by the characters, and thus the movie line that came into question:
The Pachys are out of containment! British comedian Mobeen, also known as Guzzy Bear, took issue with this term and called for a boycott of Jurassic World:
According to Focus News, the Pachy nickname was used four times throughout the movie.
But in the U.K., the word is seen as an ethnic slur used to described people from Pakistan or southern Asia in general:
People took to Twitter to voice their opinions on the abbreviation:
That would make a great bumper sticker.
Oh, for crying out loud.
At least we still have pachyderms
More contained than the Pakis
Barack Mohammed Hussein Obama will deal with this when Ramadan has is over....

It is made up term. We just call them paki dogs, from the comedy crank-call skit "You kicked my dog", which is one of my all time favorites.
