Just how powerful is this symbol, the Confederate Battle Flag, anyway?
Given all the hue and cry we're hearing about it today, you'd think it was some sort of completely invincible talisman that cannot be allowed to fall into the wrong hands.
Those decrying its existence are according it a level of power and mysticism beyond all belief, as if the flag itself could commit crimes and inflict violence all on its own. Why do they allow this flag to wield such all-controlling power over them? Since the flag didn't shoot these unfortunate victims in Charleston, that's about the only thing that would explain their behavior toward it.

The left is completely irrational on their “best” day. Apparently, the republicans who’ve leapt on board are caught up in mass hysteria?
There again, sentiment can be *very* powerful.

(First the Confederate Battle Flag, then the Cross. It's not far off.)
