It started with the n-word and other alphabet words, now its a 19th century flag and historic monuments. What will be next?
Time to start removing people unacceptable to our “sensitive betters” from historical photographs, too ... book banning and burning will follow shortly thereafter.
A few years ago a buddy and I co-wrote and co-produced a record album called “Rednecks Built America” and it has a little bitty Dixie flag on the bumper of a semi truck on the cover (a US flag is on the other side of the bumper). It was intended to embrace all races in the capability of being “redneck” which is a life style or attitude. This is an example of the kind of thing the ‘phobes are hating now.
By trying to be all things to all demanders, they are probably ceasing to be relevant at all.
I’ve seen them, didn’t notice the flag missing.

It’s because Obama has rubbed old wounds sore again (for the immediately visible cause).
This is what America gets for electing a tomfool president.
At this point, it seems far beyond just Obama. His election was just a symtom of a much larger cultural and societal decay.
These things now come across more like the psychotic screams of a dying nation.

Anyhow, I believe the classic Christian explanation for it. People accepted the influence of the devil, and rejected the influence of God.
