Hes dismissed by the political professionals, but there is no denying that the appetite for Donald Trump among Republican primary voters is real.
The New York developer and reality television star is second among 2016 presidential candidates in a new Suffolk University poll of New Hampshire Republicans behind only former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.
The poll of 500 likely GOP presidential primary voters found 14% back Mr. Bush. Mr. Trump is right behind at 11%. Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio come next, with 8% and 7%, respectively. The poll tested 19 GOP candidates a rare survey that included ultra-longshots like Mark Everson and former Govs. Bob Ehrlich and Jim Gilmore.
While Mr. Trump is experiencing a bump in popularity after announcing the launch of his campaign last week (he filed formal Federal Elections Commission paperwork Monday), he remains the most disliked GOP candidate in the field. Suffolk found he is the only GOP candidate with a net unfavorable rating in New Hampshire 37% of those surveyed had a favorable opinion of Mr. Trump, compared to 49% who had an unfavorable view.

Ut oh....folks aren’t going to like this, around here :-)
I met with a diversified group, this past weekend, including a few 0bie voters who are now supporting Trump...fwiw.
You mean liberals are supporting liberal Donald Trump? Say it isn't so! lol!
Yep. I was somewhat surprised. These were diehard 0bie hopenchangey suckers. They’d been awfully quiet, about their lord, over the past year.
My point is...Trump is hitting a nerve that’s causing even diehard 0fans to take a look. Will it last? Is it worth anything, in the long run? Who knows. Time will tell.
They want Trump to do well in the primaries because they what most people know, he would fail miserably in the general election. I don’t believe he will get that far so we’ll never see that happen, but a national campaign of this clown would be a disaster.
Time to Get Tough: Making America #1 Again
You may disagree with him but to say he's been silent on the issue of economic growth is risible.
I like your comment...I feel the same way.
When he loses the nomination, will his ego allow him to sit back and support the nominee, or will he decide to run 3rd party and hand the White House back to the dems?
He’s sure stirred the pot and will get my vote. Need a businessman at the helm of the ship of state under the current conditions instead of a politician.
NH also likes Bernie Sanders and the Greens....
"I probably identify more as a Democrat." ~Donald Trump
it is 11%? How is that a surge? How does that mean ... anything? He gets 1 in 10 and people act like there’s the groundswell of support?
Bizarre.
Mr. Status Quo has spoken.
Say what you will about Trump but he’s very vocal and hitting hard on two key issues which the stupid Republicans should get a clue from: illegals/building a wall and anti-TPP and bringing back jobs to America.
A pointless hypothetical Trump detractors like to throw around for some reason.
Ronald Reagan: "Yes because for many years I was a Democrat."
I think you hit the nail on the head. Lots of folks are thinking “why not?” That’s the level of extreme disgust toward professional politicians.
Oh and of course, one of the trademark ways to know that you’re onto something important at FR is when you start getting attacked. It’s a badge of honor.
Trump told Hannity he would not consider a third party run. He is a Republican.
“They want Trump to do well in the primaries because they what most people know, he would fail miserably in the general election”
I totally disagree. IMO the only two people with a chance to win the general election agains’t Shrillary are Ctuz and Trump. Anybody else and you need to start practicing saying President Clinton.
You are obviously clueless to the circumstances surrounding each man's situation.
Conservative Ronald Reagan had been a Democrat prior to 1962 and once he switched parties he never looked back.
Liberal Donald Trump admits to voting for Clinton, said he still identifies as a democRAT as recently as 2004, wants to ban guns, and still donates large to democRATs including the Clintons.
There is no real comparison and for you to attempt besmirch the good name of President Reagan in a lame attempt to defend the likes of a liberal like Donald Trump was, at best, disgraceful, and only makes you look desperate.
Especially if all you have to do is say it, and if people don't ask any embarrassing questions like "How many American workers have you laid off, Donald??
