In essence, I’m seeing him say, “this was a noble idea, but when the details are penned out, it is suicide to pass it. It is almost as if he saw this from the beginning and knew he was going to take heat, but was looking at it strategically rather than tactically.
There is nothing wrong with being for an idea, but against a particular implementation. And sometimes the difference can be very tiny, but the impact tremendous, kind of like a single extra chromosome.
No, he’s trying to save face at this point. That’s okay with me. Voting for it the first time put our country in mortal danger but maybe we got lucky.
There’s no excusing his (former) support of it. Like another poster mentioned...he even went as far as to write an op-ed with Lyin’ Paul Ryan to extoll the *virtues* of this cr@p sandwich.
A little to little, too late? We’ll see.
It would be awesome if you were right, but sadly I don’t think so. Read his response and why he’s now against it. It really only has to do with the Export-Import Bank. Well there is the immigration piece but the heft the article is about ex-im.
I agree. Many are too quick to pass judgement. But, that’s they’re right.
However, the only person that will change my mind is Cruz and there is still time to decide for myself.
