Funny that none of these people were calling for the flag to be removed a month ago. This flag “issue” has nothing to do with some crazy person shooting down people. Cowards - all of them.
I really don’t think I can envision an organization that is so repulsively stupid as the GOP (always surrendering to the opposition’s narrative, giving false leftist memes legitimacy, and in the process coming across like the most contemptable and most groveling cowards one can humanly imagine).
The GOP truly makes me want to vomit.
An emotional but necessary action. Clearly most Southerners view their ancestors who fought for the South as valiant and heroic soldiers who defended their homes and their land. Most were poor non slave owning people who essentially shared the same racial attitudes of their Northern opponents. It would be difficult to document that they were fighting primarily to defend slavery and oppress blacks. Yet essentially they were doing exactly that. Black people must shudder when they see the Confederate battle flag on public property and have a distinct impression of the attitudes of people who fly it privately.It will be a very wise person who somehow comes up with a long term approach to the display of this emblem that strikes such a different emotional cord in people.
150 years ago. The south thought they were as right as the north. It’s their heritage in the south. I’d be furious if my great, great grandfather died as part of the southern army.

Reince Prince speaking for the RNC doing away with the Confederate Battle Flag, Karl Rove saying it’s time to repeal the Second Amendment, Jeb Bush says the transgender military is cool. They claim to be Conservative but they may be left of Bernie Sanders, I’ve been voting for, contributing to, and working for their candidates for over fifty years and they wonder why I’m “Past Due” on my RNC membership. Pandering to those who will give them no money, no work and no votes. I think they’re double agent democrats and the republican party has been co-opted and is doomed.
And I had such high hopes for the Rinsed Prius, too... What a disappointment.
I am so happy that I am no longer affiliated with this weak livered organization. It would take an act of God for me to support them ever again.

The BGI’s campaign has very successfully characterized the Battle Flag as one thing: racist.
The War Between The States was not only about slavery.
They have balls for a flag but do not have balls for removing Boner nor Obama.
When will the rep party ever learn to stop jumping on idiotic flavor of the week bandwagons? This flag flap will fade in a week. And even if it didn’t people who care about this sort of thing will never ever vote for a gop candidate.
