The `angry black me’ crowd wants to take down the Confederate flag on the State House grounds because of the evil act of a lone loser, and now they are interested in attacking the statue of Pitchfork Ben Tillman on the same grounds just a few yards away.
Truth told, Tillman was a real racist both as governor and U.S. senator. He later met with Woodrow Wilson who seemed to be an admirer (Wilson was born in Columbia, SC).
Just looked it up - the movement to take down the flag is now adopting removal of the Tillman statue which has stood on the State House grounds since 1940.

Woodrow Wilson was born in Staunton, VA. Moved to Augusta GA when he was a year and then to Columbia, SC.
I know that because as a Virginian, he is the one President I am ashamed to say was from VA.
