Ted Cruz, a conservative presidential candidate, spoke to a crowd of roughly 300 supporters at the Nipomo Barn on Monday about a host of issues, including Obamacare, his support of a flat tax and Second Amendment rights.
Cruz's wife, Heidi, who grew up in San Luis Obispo County, was in the audience with the couple's two children, as was her mother, who still lives in San Luis Obispo.
The event was put on by the Republican Party of San Luis Obispo County.

Even though Cali is forever lost to the liberal caliphate, appearances there still present lucrative fundraising opportunities.

I have been trying to say to the anti-Cruz people that there is only ONE candidate who is widening the map...
His name is Ted Cruz.
And while Cali might be lost, it still has primary votes.

That was one of my tie breakers with Walker. He's a goof, but Howard Dean was an effective Dem party head, and he decided to expand the map and concede nothing before the 2006 election, where we lost our majority.

Had to look at your tagline. At first thought DRINK was the Koolaid.
Wive and I were there.
Gave a ticket to neighbor lady who at furst said, “Who’s Ted Cruz”.
Single asian woman (husband died) with a teenage son. A school teacher surrounded by democrats and liberals.
When he was introduced, with his education and past experience she said, Oh, Oh.
Applauded at ‘Eliminate Common Core.’ (And everything else, too.)
When done she said that she could not disagree with anything he said, and profuse thanks for the invitation.

Yes. Cruz is focused on the long term, not just the first 3 primaries. It is smart

I was energized. He seemed like a good guy, a smart candidate, but his persona just doesn’t come off as presidential as I would like. If Reagan said the exact same thing it would come off like a rock star. Cruz is my man going in, nothing has changed.
