“No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.”

Third Amendment to the US Constitution.

Now, in light of SCOTUSCare, will the Federeral Government be able to quarter troops in my house, or not?

What is ownership? What is peace? What is quartering? Can we be in war, though not declared? Can we pass a law stating we are at war, and then make troops live with me?

One cannot give any answer with certainty any longer.

If Congress intends to “help the troops” does that mean that the law need not be followed?

Back in the day, they only “quartered troops in homes” to monitor people.....

....in our day we have the NSA.

So, yes, the 3rd ammendment has already been removed.
