A prominent Muslim leader in France has suggested that thousands of the country's abandoned Catholic churches should be turned into mosques to accommodate the growing French Muslim population, which is the largest Muslim population in Europe.
In a Monday interview with France's Europe 1 radio, Dalil Boubakeur, the president of the French Council of Muslim Faith and rector of the Grand Mosque in Paris, explained that there are only 2,500 mosques in France, with another 300 under construction, which falls short of being able to serve the nation's estimated 5 million Muslims.
Boubakeur asserted that at least 5,000 mosques are needed in order to comfortably serve the French Muslim community and advised that converting some of the nation's emptied churches could be a viable option. "It's a delicate issue, but why not?" Boubakeur said.
The International Business Times reports that research conducted by the French Institute of Public Opinion in 2012 found that Catholics make up 64 percent of France's population but only 4.5 percent of French Catholics regularly attend church services. In the last decade, about 60 Catholic churches have closed.
As an example, Boubakeur cited how a church in Clermont-Ferrand, which had been abandoned for over 30 years, was converted into a mosque in 2012 and the transition, he said, was welcomed by the local religious community. In April, Boubakeur called for the doubling in the number of mosques in France. His call for Muslims to have more places of worship has also been deemed "legitimate" by French Christian leaders...

The essential concept of Chrislam is that Christianity and Islam are compatible, that one can be a Christian and a Muslim at the same time. Chrislam is not an actual religion of its own, but a blurring of the differences and distinctions between Christianity and Islam like the false prophets of ancient Israel blurred the distinction between Baal and the God of the Bible.
Advocates of Chrislam point to facts such as Jesus being mentioned 25 times in the Qur’an, or Christianity and Islam having similar teachings on morals and ethics, or the need for the two largest monotheistic religions to unite to fight against the rise of atheism and alternative spirituality. Chrislam is viewed by many as the solution for the ongoing conflict between the Western world, which is predominantly Christian, and the Middle East, which is predominantly Muslim.
Chrislam ultimately fails because Christianity and Islam are diametrically opposed on the most important issues. The Islamic Moon God, Allah, is a singular entity while the Christian God is triune (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). Muslims view Jesus Christ as a prophet while Christianity says He is God, the second member of the triune Godhead. True Christianity declares Jesus to be God incarnate while Islam says that Allah is unknowable. For Christians, the deity of Christ is a non-negotiable, for without His deity, Jesus’ death on the cross would not have been sufficient to be the atoning sacrifice for the sins of the entire world (1 John 2:2). Islam demands the death of the Infidel to atone for a Muslim's sins.
Islam adamantly rejects the deity of Christ. The Qur’an declares the idea that Jesus is God to be blasphemy (5:17). Belief in the deity of Christ is considered shirk (“filth”) to Muslims. Further, Islam denies the death of Christ on the cross (4:157-158). The most crucial doctrine of the Christian faith is rejected in Islam. As a result, the two religions are absolutely not compatible, making Chrislam a concept both Christians and Muslims should reject.
Some current proponents of Chrislam are Rick Warren, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, late Robert Schuller, Glen Beck, Tony Campolo, Brian Maclaren, Joel Osteen, and Pope Francis. Chrislamic people themselves see no problem with the basic unity of the two religions, because they say that God loves all people and wants us to love all people.
President Obama's former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright is quoted as saying, “I made it [Chrislam] comfortable for him [Obama] to accept Christianity without having to renounce his Islamic background.”

Hate to say it, but churches abhor a vacuum. This is what happens when a culture abandons it’s Christian heritage.
We have just returned from Paris, and it broke my heart to see how all those beautiful churches have become primarily museums, with only a small handful of worshippers.
When I hear a Muslim say we worship the same God, I ask incredulously, “Muslims worship Jesus as God!?”

Therefore the Biblical New Testament Christian God of Israel
is not/can not be Allah!
64% claim to be Catholic but only 4.5% regularly go to Mass. I’d bet the other 59.5% don’t regularly pray and rarely crack open the Bible. Wonder what they think makes them Catholic?
