Someone better remind this guy that the full armor of God in Ephesians 6 does in fact include a sword.

Jesus told His disciples to get some swords.

Would the pope say that Jesus isn't a Christian either?

I’d hope not, but since the sword of the full armor is the Word of God, it’s not surprising that Francis seems to be underarmed in that area as well.
