TURIN, Italy, June 21 (Reuters) - People who manufacture weapons or invest in weapons industries are hypocrites if they call themselves Christian, Pope Francis said on Sunday.

Francis issued his toughest condemnation to date of the weapons industry at a rally of thousands of young people at the end of the first day of his trip to the Italian city of Turin.

"If you trust only men you have lost," he told the young people in a long, rambling talk about war, trust and politics after putting aside his prepared address.

"It makes me think of ... people, managers, businessmen who call themselves Christian and they manufacture weapons. That leads to a bit a distrust, doesn't it?" he said to applause.

He also criticised those who invest in weapons industries, saying "duplicity is the currency of today ... they say one thing and do another."

“I think the Pope should take a few history and science courses instead of relying on his councils which are obviously leading him astray.”

“Pope” Francis has no “councils” - he just channels Eva Peron ... Oh, and his fellow homosexual sodomites of the Vatican Homo Mafia.

Someone better remind this guy that the full armor of God in Ephesians 6 does in fact include a sword.

Do the Swiss Guard carry guns? They protect the Pope.

when will he announce to the world that the Vatican is protected by police WITHOUT WEAPONS?

He wants to be protected but we sinners can’t be?

NOT catholic, don’t care what the pope thinks anymore than I care what your old uncle Charlie thinks and there is no difference in their ‘holyness’ as far as I’m concerned.

“Pope says weapons manufacturers can’t call themselves Christian”

If this is true then the Pope is an ass.

In sum, Bergoglio - aka “Pope” Francis - is no more a Catholic than was Karl Marx. He has no standing. He is a heretic and a fraud, who must be deposed before he is able to do further damage to the Church and the faithful.

No doubt pope Frank was thoroughly vetted by the cardinals who nominated and voted for him...I'm sure the current magisterium is/are getting no surprises...

It's very clear that the majority of the Catholic bishops of the world are in tune with Francis...

The only thing that is surprising is that there are Catholics who are shocked by all this...Francis is the face of the Catholic religion...

“Statements such as this by the pope is just silliness. ...”

I beg to differ! This is far worse and far more destructive than mere “silliness”. Who were his audience? Young people - those who are easily influenced because they lack experience and probably lack an education in sound traditional Christian doctrine - such as the Theory of Just War. Add to that the natural fascination that the young have with a personality such as the Pope, and you have the makings of a socialist army, who will never lift a finger to fight against real evil. This SOB of a “Pope” is subverting the faith and corrupting the young. What his cadre of sodomites has done to their bodies, this wolf in sheep’s clothing is doing to their minds. He is a despicable, manipulative, narcissist megalomaniac. He is a false pope, an anti-pope ... AND it is HE who is THE “unchristian” hypocrite!

So, has he announced any excommunications on Nancy Pelosi and other "good Catholics"? I mean, manufacturing rat poison, when rat poison can be used to kill a human, means not a Christian, so what does advocacy of abortion on demand do? How about Hillary, Mister Pope Man? She said abortion is non-negotiable. Is she a Christian?

Is it just possible that this POPE is the Anti-Christ, and NOT Barack Hussein Obama after all? Or maybe the College of Cardinals which elected him is somehow collectively the Anti-Christ?

NOPE...The pope is the false prophet...He will lead people to and and encourage them to worship the anti-christ...

A Pope can be deposed and exiled. This jackass needs to be sent to North Korea.

“I don’t know why this pope comments on everything and anything. I can’t remember another pope expressing his opinion on a daily basis like this one.”

A wise man has something to say - but a fool must say something.

Pinochet = Argentina???

Uh - no ...

Try Chile:

Augusto José Ramón Pinochet Ugarte, more commonly known as Augusto Pinochet, was dictator of Chile between 1973 and 1990 and Commander-in-Chief of the Chilean Army from 1973 to 1998. He was also president of the Government Junta of Chile between 1973 and 1981.

“Pinochet regime ... wrong country and in reality he was a good guy.”

Yes, he was a good guy - and thanks for pointing out that purposely obscured fact.

Only pay attention to what's between quotation marks.
