One month after the deadly May 17 shootout at Twin Peaks prompted the unprecedented mass arrests of 177 bikers, officials are releasing limited information and say disclosure of certain evidence, including videos of the incident, would compromise their investigation.
The incident was of such a rare scale and variety that McLennan County officials had never experienced anything like it.
Their response after the shooting stopped has been criticized from some corners and spawned at least one federal civil rights lawsuit and a judicial complaint.
Now, as the media, bikers and their relatives push for answers, many questions remain unanswered because of the sheer magnitude of the incident: nine dead, 20 wounded, 177 arrested, 27 vehicles seized, 488 weapons found on scene to date.
Officials are quick to point out the criminal justice system does not work like it does on TV crime shows, despite the public’s expectations.
“This is an investigation. The term ‘investigation’ carries with it a careful and impartial consideration of all the evidence and all the facts,” said 19th State District Judge Ralph Strother. “It is not done on ‘CSI’ time. It is done in real life and in the real world. It is to everyone’s best interests that all parties know everything so that we can be fair to everyone, and that cannot be done overnight.”
The incident at Twin Peaks apparently was not captured on video by any innocent bystanders or it already would have surfaced, as in the case of the McKinney, Texas, pool party where teenagers filmed former police officer David Casebolt flinging a girl to the ground and drawing his gun on other teens who did not obey his orders.

What we are witnessing is “modified, limited hangout”. An intel technique made famous during Watergate. Wiki it for yourself. It amounts to an admission of guilt.
This I maintain is the reason they are waiting. They are afraid once they commit to a cover up set of lies a video would come out. They waco pd are scared to death someone has a video of this event that has yet to be released.
Waco PD, TXDPS, FBI could not do as good a job of bad press for the bike gangers as their own criminal and anti-social behavior trying come across as ‘public enemy’ badasses, which “most” of the public has long been well aware of.
Any wannabes caught up in Twin Peaks, should have thought about “lay down with dogs, get up with fleas” when they were thinking how cool it was to hang out with lowlife thugs.
The funny thing about pendulums is, they usually swing.
When the fear turns out to be disproportionately nothing, what started with a bang will end with a whimper.
But as you have seen, the “bad” is mostly bark, little bite. It was far less common for a feud like this to break out than for such meetings to end with nobody shot, nobody dead. Why should you be seduced into attacking it to the point of uttering patently ridiculously things?

As I have posted previously, you gang apologists have a solid right to your opinion, which I will fight to see you get, but damn you just can’t make up your own facts and expect everyone else to say “Duh”.

The Waco PD's ham-handed limited hangout is a fail. The twelve rounds that they admit to firing from high powered rifles are not going away. We can assume at 50 yards that twelve rounds means twelve dead or injured. The general public may have no interest in Constitutional issues but they sure don't want to be dodging .223 cal. rounds while they're eating Sunday brunch.
The main tool of the troll is accusation. It’s a form of psychological torture, to break you down by turning your words against you, twisting your statements and pounding away at one aspect of your viewpoint.
That’s going on the short list for future tag lines.

That’s because, according to the police, there WERE no innocent bystanders. Everyone who breathed was arrested and their video confiscated.
It’s time we opened our eyes and realize the local cops are no better, or maybe even worse, than the feds when it comes to our constitutional rights.

Some of it is just plain silly ridicule too... I have to laugh because the cards aren’t even hidden at that point.
Do I want bikers to be feuding? Of course not. It’s a foolish thing to do. And there’s something to be said for not going for Satan’s side in ideology and philosophy. That is what gospel bikers have gone out there to show to the “bad” biker world, and by and large they are respected.
In the meantime we shouldn’t be trying to USE Satan to FIGHT Satan which is what I am witnessing going on. That only is Satan’s trap for us. I want my seat and as many of my friends’ seats as possible to be in the non smoking section of eternity... that outweighs any earthly system of classification.

What does that even mean?
I guess the answer is that people should upload (or send) their footage to “the cloud” or another account to get “off site” storage of any such content should authorities (or thugs) seize phones at the scene for compromising video.
Some people think that muggers who take cellphones are taking the phone because it is cool/expensive. They are doing it to prevent the robbery victim from filming the perp and calling the cops.
And password protect your phone.
Ponder on it.
When are they going to release the autopsy reports so we can find out how many of those bikers were murdered by police bullets? When the truth finally comes out, hopefully it will, it will be another black eye for Waco, a la Janet Reno.
