To: Conscience of a Conservative

Interesting that he took the unfair MSM coverage of the Trayvon case, which he was right about, and went so wrong with it. Shouldn’t the media be discussing how their avoidance of truth, which (I hate to say) this racist f word took to the outer limit of monstrous behavior?

If the media think that every white person needs to share blame for white on black racism, don’t they also share blame for a crazy person turning to pure evil after seeing the thug Trayvon worshipped as a pure innocent child in the nation’s press?

It is the media’s lies that first motivated him. I don’t know what was deeply broken in his brain to get from there to murder, because most of us here were incensed by those lies but didn’t become racist or wish to kill good Christian people in prayer.

Why did he have no morals, no decency?

I do think it is humorous in a way that he wasn’t happy with the KKK and other white racists as they weren’t racist ENOUGH. Gee Whiz, every liberal thinks every person who casts an R vote is practically a Nazi.

Why did he have no morals, no decency?

Largely because modern society, as depicted by 'mainstream infotainment' *is* a society which is amoral (that is what 'moral relativism' devolves to, its core essence.) We have a problem, but it isn't guns, its Godlessness. One cannot fill the hole created by the removal of morality with pharmaceuticals and fuzzy platitudes, and it shows...

It is the media’s lies that first motivated him.

That's what he says. Could be that's what he believes. I think he feels deeply betrayed and like he's been lied to all his life, but I wonder if it was really Trayvon Martin that set him off.

Could be he discovered a family lie he didn't want to cope with. OTOH, one of his friends has said that he felt his parents weren't there for him -- that definitely creates a deep sense of betrayal.

He was a woefully inconsistent racist. Aside from a couple of paternalist soft racists -- who don't recognize their own racism, of course -- the only racist I know wouldn't be caught dead socializing with a black guy. Then again, that racist's wife insists that he became a racist in the first place because a black coworker constantly harassed him. Could be this nutter got bullied somewhere as well.

Kind of ironic that this kid seems to have gone from total trust in the lying Mainstream media, to feeling betrayed, and then right on to total trust in some other media source. If he'd just sat down and done the math, he could have figured out that black people aren't nearly the risk to the US that sites like his favorite one present them as, simply because they'll never (or at least never in the foreseeable future) reach the numbers necessary to "take over."
