Maybe he is just speaking like the average Catholic, remember that the majority of Catholics supported Obama and support his party, which shares this view and the impulse to choose liberal politics, over voting for Christian positions.

Wow, that'll leave a mark. Interesting thought too, now the can recycling can be thought of as a spiritual work and with RC's it's always about doing works and feeling good about them.
