Goofy idea of Cleopatra, full blooded Macedonian, being black is usually credited to J. A. Rogers in a 1946 book. He was not an expert on Egypt or Greece.
The Cleopatra reasoning is something like: One of her Grandmothers is unknown so therefore she must have been Black.
I mean that is the whole argument.
Of course the fact that the Ptolemies always married their kin would make that impossible. The fact that the highest class of Egyptians were not Black does not mean a thing. No matter tho. if it is even mathematically possible then Cleopatra must have been Black.
