BALTIMOREProsecutors in the Freddie Gray case have asked the judge to take the unusual step of ordering all evidence to be made confidential before the trial of six police officers charged in his death.
The request seeks to prevent defense lawyers from making public any discovery material they receive in the run-up to the trial. Discovery material, which legally must be turned over to the defense, includes evidence, witness lists and other information.
Prosecutors said they want to avoid what they called unfair pretrial publicity, which they largely blamed on the defense.

I figured she had nothing to hide - literally. My guess she is headed for epic fail.
The University of Maryland School of Law.
Ah yes, the usual liberal court named after Roland Frieseler.
Racist prosecutor is racist
Sounds like this idiot prosecutor is actually attempting to change the rules because it’s finally dawning on her that they have no case. This is what you get when you select a person for a job on something other than their education, merits, knowledge skills and abilities................sound familiar?
Hmmm. Maybe the prosecution believes if evidence is released, there would be riots?
I hope the union has found some very good criminal attornies...

Also, I would imagine mosley has had the way paved for her her whole life and now that she has to step up and actually do her job she is being exposed as totally inept and clueless.
This hack should be dis-barred. Then sent to prison.
Joseph Goebbels woluld be proud of Kristallnacht, in Baltimore
Even more interesting would be the FOIL for communication between the White Mosque and Baltimore authorities.
ValJayjay , you have a visitor , with a subpoena !!
Ms. Lynch , you have a visitor, with a subpoena !!
you have "room to destroy".
If that isn't Kristallnacht , I don't know what it is !
No discovery file for you, Mister Defense Attorney.
You will have to just wing it.
LOL
Yep, we seem to have that a lot lately.
A professional prosecutor would be obliged to drop all charges....
The offices of the Baltimore mayor and the Baltimore State’s Attorney share much in common with the Waco government authorities...they at least SEEM to fear factual information being made public relative to their respective “cases”. And, IMHO, their fears may be well founded as the light of knowledge being shined on the actual facts of their cases may disrupt their narratives.
Can we say: Star Chamber?
That’s a pix from beyond photoshop!
They are not seeking to prevent discovery. They are seeking to prevent the defense from going to the media with information released in discovery. I don’t really agree with that maneuver either, but let’s at least get the facts right.
Can the State’s Attorney get it in the right court room? And I bet she would like this all to be confidential to hide her own stupidity.
A professional, experienced prosecutor would not have followed up on these charges in the first place.
