Is anyone in the IT Security department being held accountable? Just how do they justify retaining their positions? Is incompetence a qualifier for working in the Fed government? Enquiring minds want to know.
How quaint.
As a civilian who occasionally works on gov't computers, I have to pass a background check just like I did for my security clearance while in the military.
The most recent data submission was a LOT more detailed and intrusive than the one before that, and required a lot of data about other family members , friends and acquaintances. Now it turns out that my data has likely been compromised, along with data about family members, friends, co-workers and acquaintances who never asked to be in a government database. This is very disturbing..
I wonder, what recourse do any of us have? In the words of a cartoon character, I feel "I've been violated!".
