> “Heidi Cruz was a Bush admin political appointee whose training is in international business. Why are you and the campaign glossing over those facts?”

I don’t appreciate you characterizing my comments as ‘glossing over’. If you want to participate in an intelligent and civil discussion, then you are going to get rid of that habit. Because I can do the same to you 100-fold.

Heidi Cruz is 42 years old. As a Bush Admin employee she was 30 years old. People that are 30 years old and are engaged in building a high-powered resume will latch on to the coattails of persons they think are going to the top. She could have chose to work for Hillary Clinton but she chose a republican and then she decided to marry a Texan ultra-conservative. I’d say Heidi is ultra-smart.

> “It’s quite obvious Goldman has stashed her in the “wealth management” division because her career path/background is not something they want highlighted at the moment.”

She was never high enough in the food chain at GS for them to consider her in league with board members or in the small ring of their HQ executive decision makers. Because of her resume, intelligence and drive, she rose in GS to a level that indicates she is a successful competitor with hundreds of others vying for top slots at GS. Now that she is a viable and likely probably prospective First Lady, GS will give her special treatment but her putting her job at GS on ice is indicative again that she and Ted are a very smart pair.

Nancy Reagan she is not.

I was referring to, among other things, the habit of Cruz supporters to insinuate that TPA does not enable TPP. It’s quite tiresome and defies logic.

Cutting and pasting campaign talking points filled with half truths and dissembling does not equate to “civil discussion”. It’s quite unfortunately that some conservatives are using pretzel logic to support the enabling of passage of Obamatrade because of one vote by Ted Cruz. I expect better of FReepers.
