Chuck Todd is in crash and burn condition.
The kid used to actually have a sense of humor, a personality and no obvious arrogance. Yes, he was always a pure Lefty and a political Kool Aid dispenser, but for years he was not a puffed up putz with an ink pen. And he smiled. Even showed a little shyness.
Now, he is frozen faced, beady eyed, and seen waving that pen around on camera trying to appear in control of everything, using it as a baton to signal who gets to talk, when they must stop, who will be next, when a commercial is coming, when HE wants to talk, or wiggles it over his notes as he asks a question.
It’s really kind of hilarious but pitiful. He is having NO FUN and IS no fun. The great tradition of Tim Russert’s Meet the Press is so made dead by untalented neophytes who were over promoted.
Chucky looks like a depressed orchestra leader now.
