BREVARD COUNTY, Fla.
A Florida Highway Patrol trooper and a suspect were shot Sunday evening in Brevard County, according to an FHP spokeswoman.
Sgt. Kim Montes said a trooper and a suspect were both shot, but their conditions are not known.
Firefighters responded to the shooting call shortly before 10 p.m. at a BP gas station on W. King St.
A man in his mid-40s who was seriously injured by a gunshot wound and flown to Holmes Regional Medical Center, a Brevard County Fire Rescue spokesman said.
W. King St. is shut down in both directions, the spokesman said.

There is no West King Street in Melbourne.
West King Street is in Cocoa. The BP station is at 4220 West King Street, which is just off I-95.
There is a Florida Highway Patrol station at 3775 West King Street.
