The grade inflation nonsense was a key part of why teachers have so strongly opposed Common Core/PARCC testing; it is exposing the BS they’ve foisted on taxpayers for decades. You would weep if you spoke to a young public school teacher today, and realize why students aren’t learning anything; these teachers today are themselves devoid of any meaningful education.

Exactly. I got a teaching credential after working as an engineer for decades. There were 2 other engineers in my credentialing classes - part of a project to convert those in math/science fields to teachers.
All of us quit in our first year. The ‘standards’ were so low, we didn’t want to just be babysitters.
