My flag is flying outside right now and barring memory lapses will for every US Holiday.
Interesting factoid by looking at the Wikipedia site for the US Flag is that there have been multiple times when the flag has only been ‘valid’ for a single year of July4th-July3rd, the last being the period between Alaska and Hawaii statehoods. However the current 54 year period is, by far, the longest period for the same star field pattern.
Barring bad weather, my flag flies every day. Summer or winter.
She’s a bit faded, but not a tear or fray mark to be seen. Many months of life in her yet.
I noticed a seam was letting go and it was getting faded so I put out a fresh one this morning. I still have a terrible sense of foreboding about our nation but I can’t not fly the flag.
