Look what I found . Heidi Cruz is a International TRADE VP at Goldman Sachs and now on a Leave of Absence. For Six Years ,TPP was written in secret by Goldman Sachs with Barry there bought off Pupppet and Goldman is bribing Congress to ram this Crony capitalist / massive power grap. Cruz needs to Recuse himself and apologize to all of us. How much money are the Cruzes going to make onTPP ? Heidi sat on the Council Board which help write this Cronyism disaster ! Heidi is a employed VP at Goldman Sachs in the Trade Division. She may be on a leave but she will qualify for a Massive Windfall here ! She probably would get a huge windfall anyway if she left since she wrote up a decent employee contract with Ted.

Millions of American will be losing there job to overseas slave labor under TPP and Goldman Sachs and DC insiders like Ted and Heidi will be reaping the huge financial benefit from it.

Here is Ted spinning away here while hiding the Fact his Wife was sitting on the Board and getting paid for it too.

Back in 1980, there were some conspiracy types who were alarmed that the abbreviation for Citizens for Reagan was CFR. Were you one of those?

Question......

Why would you not post the contents of this article? It’s dated, May 28 2012,
and isn’t from a Do Not Post source.

Obots bad, Cruzbots good. Keep saying that or get used to the troll label. Listen only to words and ignore actions as well or you will be banned. Sad, I really liked the way Cruz dealt with the media but it’s all for show.

Cruz is wrong on this. Everybody’s wrong on something, except me.

No offense meant (really), but your post #1 is a bit of a mess. But you do make some very good points!

It is unfair to say that the Cruzes will make a ton of money of the TTP. That is something we just don't know, yet.

But it is very fair - almost mandatory, really - to point out that Cruz does have a connection to Goldman Sachs. That's the plain truth, and involves no guesswork or personal opinions. It's part of the overall picture, and so bears watching.

I myself don't put much weight in that. But if Goldman's contributions to Cruz spike, or if his wife gets a sudden promotion, well, that would get my attention.

Why do we attack the spouses of candidates? Why do we only attack the spouse of Ted Cruz?

FICTION: “Essentially, Cruz’s wife Heidi once worked for Merrill Lynch and is a Goldman Sachs Regional Manager, which is a little concerning, given, you know, the massive bailouts and their involvement with the Federal Reserve in deflating our currency and killing our economy.”

FACT: Heidi Cruz is a wealth manager in the Houston office helping families and foundations and is not connected with the company’s Washington operations. She has always been located in Houston while employed at Goldman Sachs. And, the division Heidi worked in was not connected to the portion of the bank that received bailout money. Her division would not have been affected even if Goldman had not received the bailout!

Heidi has taken a leave of absence from her work to focus full-time on the campaign with her husband. Sen. Cruz unequivocally opposes bailouts that reward big banks and corporations at the expense of American taxpayers.

There has also been some rumblings regarding Heidi supposedly working for the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). Heidi never “worked” for the CFR, but she was a “term member” of the CFR (one of 4,500 members, I might add). She is NO LONGER involved with CFR but she did participate in a Task Force on the topic of free trade under the Bush administration. However, as a member of this task force, she vigorously defended and called for free-market principles.

“Economic prosperity and a world safe from terrorism and other security threats are no doubt inextricably linked. While governments play an invaluable role in both regards, we must emphasize the imperative that economic investment be led and perpetuated by the private sector. There is no force proven like the market for aligning incentives, sourcing capital, and producing results like financial markets and profit-making businesses.” (Emphasis added).

Lest anyone question where Sen Cruz stands on CFR, his record has been UNEQUIVOCAL that he believes CFR has been a pernicious force trying to undermine U.S. sovereignty – something Sen. Cruz has spent years fighting to defend. Indeed, Sen. Cruz has a proven record of fighting to defend U.S. sovereignty.

I care less about this and more about the fact that Cruz is ready to join forces with the President we all know only wants to hurt and destroy our country.

I am one of the millions that feel completely betrayed by Cruz’s illogical partnership with Obama against many conservatives. Look at where we are. Cruz is arguing and acting for Obama and against a great conservative like Jeff Sessions. Everything is now opposite.

His betrayal and illogical behavior is the reason articles and questions like this will appear more and more. Because Cruz’s vote and then his championing of weakening Congress to Obama’s benefit is SO INEXPLICABLE.

Anybody is still welcome for argue for Cruz, but I am one of the folks that not only believed in him, but donated to his campaign. Now I am left angry and only happy that I saw Cruz is yet another politician that would also do the opposite of what they believe in before I wasted a vote on him.

On my scorecard now he is not much better than the likes of McCain, Romney, Rubio, Jeb, and unfortunately Walker who also is willing to give Obama increased power to hurt our country in the TPA as well.

I’m tired of being angry about Cruz. I am now just disappointed and feel so betrayed.

TPA is NOT a SINGLE ISSUE. The parts of the TPP that have already been leaked out show the council created by TPP will be allowed to rule on immigration, possession of firearms, and even labor law. The TPP, which the TPA makes very easy to shove down our throat, makes that governing body that can then do anything else it wants including completely re-writing even the founding document of the TPP. Everyone in the Union will only have one equal vote and once we are in Congress has no recourse.

Although it is true they couldn’t actually re-write our law in the US. But there has always been a fine mechanism in such agreements and I am sure with Obama negotiating for us there will be a tool created to hurt us badly if we do not COMPLY.

I could go on even more, but suffice it to say there are now millions of people that wanted to eagerly support and believe in Cruz. Now we are left feeling betrayed by him like we have been by so many other politicians. His behavior and willingness to do the inexplicable has made us move on in our search for a worthy candidate.

I am tired of politicians betraying me and I WILL TAKE NO MORE. The path of “he’s the best we have” is not only false, but insulting. This is a nation of 320 million people. I do not have to choose my next President out of a handful of people. The election is over 16 months away and the first primaries are 8 months away. That same path has also given us candidates that conservatives are not excited about and our Presidential election turnout has been terrible.

Cruz has done many things that are admirable too, but I don’t have to agree with a nominee on every issue. The problem I have is Cruz’s betrayal. He told us he is so principled and Obama cannot be trusted, and then inexplicably voted and championed for the opposite. Disagreeing on issues is one thing, but betrayal is a disqualifier because you never know when a person like that will act against you again.

It would totally be different for me if Cruz from the beginning made statements he would support something like this and then did it. But this came out of nowhere and teaming with Obama is the act of a Fool. That is Betrayal and not a disagreement.

I will vote for a candidate that I find I mostly agree with, as long as I can believe in their overall guiding principles.

This whole TPA has taken away my trust in Cruz and I will NEVER vote for someone I cannot trust. I will more gladly vote for someone I do not agree with on everything, but whom I trust.

So nominating someone that has clearly acted against what is good for our nation like Cruz will just ensure another democrat becomes the next President. If you are OK with that then fine. Everybody has their vote and we have all watched this play out 2 elections in a row. Cruz will be no different if he is our next nominee.

These are Heidi Cruz's words from the report:

I support the Task Force report and its recommendations aimed at building a safer and more prosperous North America. Economic pros- perity and a world safe from terrorism and other security threats are no doubt inextricably linked. While governments play an invaluable
role in both regards, we must emphasize the imperative that economic investment be led and perpetuated by the private sector. There is no force proven like the market for aligning incentives, sourcing capital, and producing results like financial markets and profit-making busi- nesses. This is simply necessary to sustain a higher living standard for the poorest among us—truly the measure of our success. As such, investment funds and financing mechanisms should be deemed attractive instruments by those committing the capital and should only be devel- oped in conjunction with market participants.

That brings back memories.

By this point, though, everybody pretty much recognizes that if a politician isn't a CFR member, he or she will have CFR members in the cabinet -- if not quite in his or her bed.

You have to know what the foreign policy experts are talking about, even if you're determined to disagree.

The Wall Street connection may be more serious, but even Reagan had CFR members in his administration.
