The bill will pass next week because Boehner is going to give the Dems lots of stuff in future bills.
Of course he declared victory. Now that “Congress has failed to act,” he can go ahead and simply declare it by executive order.
And the economy is booming, and the world has never been safer, and you can keep your doctor, and the world respects us more than ever. This guy never gets tired of imagining he’s competent.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) said President Obama told him to not “call my bluff” when Cantor said he would consider a short-term debt-limit increase. Obama, Cantor said, then “shoved back and said, ‘I’ll see you tomorrow,’ and walked out.”
