Since TPA passed, TPP can be passed with a simple majority, no amendments allowed, straight up or down vote, rather than requiring a two-thirds majority because TPP is a trade agreement.

Now, Cruz can have his cake and eat it, too. He can refuse to vote for TPP knowing full well it will pass anyway and pretend voting for TPA had nothing to do with the fact that TPP is passed.

Yes and no.

TPP is the actual trade agreement. TPA (Fast Track) is just the streamlined process that TPP would be passed under.

TPP will be made public for review and debate prior to being voted on. However TPA makes it MUCH easier to pass, specifically by removing the ability of Senators to filibuster against it and restricting the vote to a simple up or down majority

I see many here acting - and posting - irrational things. Freezers are NOT listening to Cruz’ interviews at all, but having knee-jerk reaction based on what agitators here are posting.

If we are that easily swayed and unable to look at facts - no wonder other citizens are taken in by liberals’ irrational and emotional tirades.

Nobody is saying pass the bill without reading it. There will be 60 days for EVERYONE to read it before a vote. Cruz is saying release it now.
