Yeah, isn't that the sh*ts? It used to be that in order for a treaty to pass, you had to get a two-thirds vote. Now in order to stop a piece of crap, the Senate must come up with 60 votes. The WH has reversed rolls putting itself in the place of Congress. 40 votes can stop any amendments or changes.

Fast Track removes the Senate filibuster for final passage. Only a simple majority is required. Just like budget reconciliation, which was used to ram through ObamaCare after Scott Brown took away the Dems supermajority by winning Kennedy’s seat.
All this talk of secrecy, etc, is IMHO a smokescreen for removing the filibuster. THAT is the critical issue we need to be talking about.
