This speaks to the entire issue of “Diversity.”

No other country or culture uses it. It is a concept at odds with natural law. It goes against the rule of survival of the fittest.

For example, in the animal world, the fastest, the strongest, the smartest survive. A lion does not become the Master of his Pride because he has a darker mane than the others.

It’s the same among humans. The richest stockbroker is the one who is the best stock picker. The best farmer is the one who is best at nurturing his (or her crops.) The best surgeon is the one with the best hands.... and mind.

Who sings bass in the barbershop quartet? The best bass singer.

The problem with all AA is that it replaces skill, drive, desire and achievement with quotas. Black men did not come to dominate basketball because of some racial quotas. It is simply that they are better players.

Some Anglo-Saxon English Lord is not starting for the Cavs simply because the Black players are better basketball players than the white guys trying out for the same position.

BTW, can you imagine if diversity came to sports. Every NBA team would be required to start 2 Blacks, 2 Caucasians and 1 Hispanic. 1 of them would have to be gay and with 2 Democrats, 2 Republicans 1 Independent, and of course 1 in a wheelchair!

The question here is simply; are you willing to increase the chance, by any amount, that airline passengers will die in an entirely avoidable flaming crash in order to have Blacks feel better about themselves?

What are being “passed over” here for the preferred minorities are several groups.

1. Dedicated folks who have gone to good Aviation Colleges to learn the gamut of aviation including Air Traffic Control (ATC).

2. Experienced Military Air Traffic Controllers with much experience in Military (and High Traffic) Airports.

3. Air Force “Combat Controllers”. These are the boots on the ground Special Operators who are certified Air Traffic Controllers who also undergo intensive and VERY rigorous selection and operational training. They are assigned to become integral members of Navy Seal and Delta Force Teams with whom they train and deploy. These guys are the cream of the crop and have proven they can operate efficiently under heavy stress in the most difficult circumstances.

4. Folks who are not members of a preferred minority and who have to pass screening tests WITHOUT BEING GIVEN THE ANSWERS AND TOLD HOW TO RESPOND IN ADVANCE.

The captain pulls up the landing gear, breaks off approach and guns the four engines.

Flight 007 Newark, this is Global Flight 007 request instructions for an emergency landing, we have a medical emergency.

Newark: No puedo entender, digo otra vez? (I cannot understand you, say again?)

The pilot turns to his copilot and says, "let's try for Philly......"

I posted my scenario in jest but I have a serious story too. Back in 1976, my parents divorced. I was 9 going on 10 that year. I almost flunked third grade but thanks to a helpful, sympathetic teacher and my mother, I managed to pull out. That along with it being the BiCentennial helped ease a little of the pain I was experiencing. That was the worst thing I experienced in my life until my mother passed away in November 2013.

That said, Mom worked at K-Mart but needed a better job so she decided to put her office skills to use. She applied for an opening at the Port Authority in Pittsburgh, they are the ones who run mass transit then as well as now. She was called in for an interview and was excited. When she got home, she was mad, spitting nickels and having kittens at the same time. I asked her, "what is wrong?" She replied, "I did not get the job." I said, "why, you're smart and qualified." She said back to me, "the interviewer told me I was very qualified and she would have hired me but she said that 'I have to hold the position open for a colored woman.'" "Why is that, "I asked, "that's not right." Mom said, "affirmative action." That was my first encounter with it.

We never got quite over it, in the years a they went on, when this came up, I saw the anger in Mom's eyes and I had anger too. When Barky was elected, I saw 70 years of anger in Mom's eyes and I felt the same in my 42 years since he was our first "affirmative action pResident." My mother passed from inflammatory breast cancer in November of 2013. She was triple negative so no chemo helped. I can even see as the cancer went to her brain, when she saw Barky on TV, she still scowled at time and even cussed at him. I remember during Barky's first term, she always cried when they sang God Bless America during the 4th of July on TV and I asked her why (even though I knew) and she said, "he is hurting this country." Also she even said in 2012 when she saw an Andy Williams rerun, she cried again and wished "we were back in the world of Andy Williams." She told me in 2008 that she did not want to go to her grave with him in office. Well, that did not work out, but she is in a better place now, but I do get scared where we are heading and I wish she as here with me to at least share the burden together and to comfort each other.

I'll admit that, yes, I am bitter and angry at all of this.

I have no problem with the deaf driving a regular car, IIRC, they are required to have a passenger mirror installed on the car if they do not have one, but I think truck driving is too far. I had wax buildup in both ears to where I was almost deaf and I drove my car OK.. Still, 14 or 18 wheelers are a different thing altogether.

I'm thinking we need to work at strengthening our own communities and families, and help push this thing to collapse.

I do think at times, we need to to borrow from Cloward and Piven and use it to our advantage. In any battle, the enemy dictates the rules and we need to fight on his terms if we hope to win.
