As of midnight June 10, 106 of the bikers arrested after May 17 shootout at Twin Peaks restaurant in Waco have been released.
Each of the individuals was arrested on a charge of engaging in organized criminal activity. All bonds initially were set at $1 million. Most of those arrested have negotiated reduced bonds and were released on those amounts.

I read that. He needs a spokesperson and/or a ghostwriter; he’s in left field about a few things.
He might as well have been addressing ‘Conservatives with Conviction’, because no one else cares enough about it to do anything but pay lip service to what they’re told to believe or just acquiesce.
Very good piece. Thanks for sharing it.
Hey, it looks like there are no Jews, Chinese, Vietnamese or Hottentots on this list. That is DISCRIMINATION!
We need “BIKER DIVERSITY”.
Call Erica Holder. Call “Lynch Mob”. Call Al Sharpton for dinner.
Calling Jesse Jackson. An ambulance chaser is needed in Twin Peaks.
Oh the horror of it all!
I first learned about the Constitution in 7th grade Civics. I was fascinated with that and 50 years of learning more have given me a deep and abiding love for it (if one can love a document.)
I have also does some study on the rise of totalitarianism in both Russia and Germany. What’s going on in Waco sets off a lot of alarms. It’s good to know I am not the only one.
The ties to the Greens are stronger than either of those.
I see more Khmer Rouge.
That vintage bike club in Austin got most of their property back when they bonded out and according to them once a state registration issue is taken care of the last bike should be released.
Interesting question. Sorta crazy the way them cops just kicked ass and took names in that whole thing, huh?
Kill 9 and throw what, 172 in the pokey, million dollars bond, but very hush hush about any details. “A thousand” weapons quickly dropped to some knives and guns, yeah, but not like they painted it at first.
At first I believed the BS story about “biker gangs” and all that but they busted a bunch of independents who certainly had nothing to do with meth and hookers. Mighty odd situation.
” All bonds initially were set at $1 million. Most of those arrested have negotiated reduced bonds and were released on those amounts.”
I admit to a lifelong ignorance, recently corrected, regarding bonds, bails etc.
What I thought I “knew” about bail bondsmen, was they were who could get someone out of jail with 10% of the “bond amount” as an upfront cash deposit, but what I did not know, until very recently, was that one does not EVER get that 10% cash back, no matter if the criminal charges are eventually dropped, or whether or not the bonded one is convicted or not of the crime.
If, OTOH, one can post the entire bond amount in cash, one will get all or almost of the bond money back, eventually.
Just a minor point that maybe the vast majority of citizens who have never been arrested, also did not know....
I wonder how many other people do not know that?
As far as I know; this is common knowledge.
A better question would be; how to recoup that money via a lawsuit for wrongful imprisonment in the first place.
No citizen should have to bear the cost of bad police work or a corrupt prosecutor - ever. The city, state or federal government should pay that cost every time.
We citizens are not little puppets on a string for those in power to do with what they may. There needs to be an equalization. In this case; remuneration for any funds lost including bond, loss of work, loss of career, etc.
I imagine it would make the next over zealous person in power think twice about doing something as stupid as this.
Just sayin’...
Might I assume you’re somewhere in MA?
My pleasure.
They counted vest extender chain/snap thingies as weapons.
Maybe they started to feel stupid about those, the nail clippers and all the silverware in the restaurant, so the count “went down”.
I wonder if that Justice of The Peace will be re-elected.
Spectral evidence would indicate as much.
;D

“Spectral Evidence”. It’s what they used in Court to convict old women of being witches. About 19 were hung because they wouldn’t admit to being in league with the Devil. Many got off the hook by admitting to having “danced with the Devil by the pale moon light”. The accusers used Spectral Evidence”. Imagine what the neighborhood was like when the delusion died down. Keep your eye out for Spectral Evidence.
Good analogy.
More haunting evidence.
