Oh bull. The flooding now is not even close to the floods of 1973, for most of March, April, and May we had torrential rains, the Mississippi river almost changed its course. Added to the rain we had a very cold winter and a lot of snow melted. It is considered the third worst flood in US history. The Gulf of Mexico survived the flood of 73. I think we will be ok. There are always dead zones in the Gulf. I will never forget 73, me and my friends played football in about 2 1/2 feet of water, talk about fun. When the rains stopped it stunk like hell, a lot of animals drowned and when it got hot peeeeeu.
