A Florida high school principal has been removed from his job after commenting online in support of the Texas police officer who resigned after a video surfaced showing him manhandling a black bikini-clad teenager and pulling his gun on other black teens, according to officials and local media.
Miami-Dade County Public Schools said in a brief statement on Wednesday that North Miami Senior High School principal Alberto Iber had been removed. It added a replacement would be announced shortly.
The statement did not specify what prompted the move, but stated that district employees are required to conduct themselves, both personally and professionally, in a manner that represents the school districts core values.

When I look at the video of that “dancing punk,” isn’t he reaching behind his back? Isn’t that a rather threatening thing to do?
I have an idea. Have a gibsmedat work just one day in one of their same type neighborhoods (without a weapon of course) and they might have a little bit more understanfing on the issue. Actually if they experienced it and were mature enough they might go back to their communities and tell them they need to straighten up.
Assuming this is a public (i.e. local government run) school system, there might well be First Amendment issues at play here, although the SCOTUS gives employers broad (IMO unacceptably broad) latitude in these situation. Still, it wasn’t the brightest career move on the principal’s part to make these comments public on social media.
Anyone who doesn’t think that the 1st Amendment is under assault, planned, concerted assault, is totally removed from the realities of life.
“And the Thought Police will get you if you Don’t. Watch. Out.”
No. Its not a threatening move. Teens’ actions such as that are acceptable since the days of hands up dont shoot. In your face is in style now.
the principal made statements on his own free time? and he got fired for them?
i’m assuming the ACLU will be riding to his rescue any moment now, right?
Censorship is the New Free Speech.
The media is so eager to identify so called ‘victims’ of police misconduct by their skin color, but somehow reluctant to describe the skin color of criminal suspects.
And yet this person keeps her job...
Prof. Blasted Whites on Social Media, in Dissertation
June 4, 2015
By Peter Hasson at Campus Reform
Prof. Saida Grundy made inflammatory remarks about white men on Twitter earlier this year.
She made similar comments in her dissertation.
Boston University has already been under pressure to fire incoming sociology professor Saida Grundy for inflammatory racial comments on social media.
Grundy first came under fire earlier this year for a series of tweets in which she disparaged white males.
These Scholar-Feminists also packed my survival kit with just the thing I needed to see my way through Michiganthe intense and convicted knowledge that there was never going to be a room in which I was present where a white boy was going to be smarter than me. Tweet This
White masculinity isnt a problem for Americas colleges, white masculinity is THE problem for Americas colleges, Grundy tweeted in March.
In January Grundy tweeted: Every MLK week I commit myself to not spending a dime in white-owned businesses. and every year i find it nearly impossible.
In yet another tweet, Grundy labeled college-aged white maleswho shes somehow expected to teach and grade impartiallya problem population.
Why is white America so reluctant to identify white college males as a problem population? Grundy tweeted.
Grundys tweets were not the first time Now, however,Campus Reform has obtained a copy of her Ph.D dissertation, in which she showed the same racial animus and hostility towards young white males.
Upon examining Grundys Ph.D dissertation at the University of Michigan, Campus Reform found several remarks disparaging white men in the document. Specifically, Grundy showed disdain both for the intelligence of white male students and for the self-assurance that white boys are handed undeservingly.
Grundy also credits her undergraduate professors at Spelman College in Atlanta, Ga., with shaping her views towards white men.
Spelman College is a magical place, where the embryonic minds of Black feminist thinkers and activists are incubated by feminist scholars, Grundy stated.
These Scholar-Feminists also packed my survival kit with just the thing I needed to see my way through Michiganthe intense and convicted knowledge that there was never going to be a room in which I was present where a white boy was going to be smarter than me, she continued.
Grundy also criticized former-President George W. Bush in the acknowledgements to her dissertation, crediting his presidency to his race.
I was simply prepared to think in ways my classmates had to come to grad school to learn. Far from arrogance, it was the self-assurance that white boys are handed undeservingly every day It was the stuff that allows c-student/flunkie G.W. Bush to think Why not me as president? It was the kind of stuff that anyone invested in equipping thinking Black women for a racist, sexist, patriarchal world that mocks and despises them is required to implant in their students, she wrote in 2014.

The kid slipped and pulled up his pants. Perhaps, someday, someone in your family will be shot doing the same thing. Then, you can celebrate.
This principal got the shaft.
Ghetto tyranny.
The Supreme Court has ruled in favor of government officials speaking publicly on matters of public interest, when they have said controversial or unpleasant things, as long as their comments didn’t adversely (to some extent?) impact the mission and performance of the place where they worked.
Google on “Texas sheriff office employee Reagan ‘the next time they shoot him I hope they get him”
The federal Merit Systems Protection Board (not applicable here) has ruled along the same lines.
The government worker can speak freely on matters of public interest.
I wonder if these "core values" are written out in a explicit non-vague form anywhere. This seems to be a catch-all way to fire anyone and then claim they didn't represent the district's "core values".
It looks as if he expected to find a pistol in his waistband...but forgot that he left his weapon at home.
Academe is no place for freedom of speech, son...
The cop didn’t shoot him. And he was pulling up his pants from behind, where thugs keep their guns. So, maybe your family shouldn’t join in on flash mobs and scream and dance around cops.
The law of averages tells me, that sooner or later, these people are going to screw with the wrong person, and he is going to nut up, and go off on some A hole.
