Whatever the president negotiates and submits to the senate cannot be amended and requires 60 votes to scuttle. Obama absolutely cannot be trusted with this power. No president can given the history of this thing.
And I see the WSJ this morning in an unsigned editorial is calling opponents of TPA "protectionists" and "the dumber or more partisan Republicans." I'm calling our member of congress this morning to once again urge a NO vote. We need to pour it on.

These secret “trade deals” (don’t call them treaties!) are totally bogus and illegitimate.
If we are bound to them, they are TREATIES and must be passed by 2/3 of the Senate.
If not, they are just chicken scratching.
Congress cannot pass a series of “Obama Enabling Acts” and abrogate their Constitutional responsibilities.
