The purge list should run into the thousands.
Every agency in government has been politicized, including the IRS, FBI, Park Service, etc...
Clean House !

Agree. If a Republican is elected president, his party will ensure that nothing is reformed. The GOP loves big government and spending. They just want it to benefit their particular constituency — and we all know that does not include conservatives.

Exactly!

Gov. Scott Walker, he has EXPERENCE as a governor to be able to lead.

Governor Walker has never run up against a Democrat with a filibuster.

The wall-to-wall corruption and incompetence is by now, SO endemic that only a radical approach would succeed.

Is there ANYONE fearless and principled enough to attempt that?

• ‘Fearless’ as in, completely disregarding MSM intimidation
• ‘Principled’ as in, placing the task BEFORE his/her career aspirations

Clean House !

************
While necessary, this would be a daunting challenge and a massive undertaking. Its not easy finding talented and energized people who are willing to work in government agencies. Even if you could find thousands of them, how many would be willing to endure the long process of cleaning up and disinfecting the rat’s nests and restoring integrity and efficiency back into ossified bureaucracies? My point is that cleaning house would be a lot harder to do than many imagine. Just look at the incredible mess in the VA and the IRS. Just fixing those two agencies alone would be a herculean task. Just trying to keep it real.

I like Walker the best out of this current crop. I don't like his view on the Patriot Act.

Cruz is full-bore behind the Patriot Act AND TPP/TPA and in February gave a speech on the Senate floor in support of increasing immigration 5X.

Both are flawed, but perhaps less flawed than the rest.

Yet he had to deal with recall elections and won. If that is not an effort by the Dems in WI I do not what is.

He’s a fool if he doesn’t. Anyone is a fool if they don’t.

Or a liar and a traitor.

Bad news.

There is something called the Civil Service Act that prevent firings of government employees without mountains of paperwork.

Prior to this, government jobs were “spoils.” When the old administration went out, the new administration fired everybody and gave government jobs to their friends and supporters.

I am no longer certain which situation is worse.

In a better world, I’d have only two questions for the current occupants of the White House:

Blindfold?
Cigarette?

I said no one would be able to fix it. I said I am being realistic on what people like Walker and Cruz could accomplish.

“Good lord some of you people are freaking loons”.

If that is “looney”, I’m a loon.

You do know that the president gets to appoint about 2,000 of the about 2.6 million federal civilian employees or 0.07%.

No small task, f’sure.
Since government bow wows have “bumping” rights, the solution might simply be to close two or three federal agencies entirely.

After the dust settles and the surviving bow wows have taken their new desks, disconnect their telephones.

I’m convinced that no elected government or official will ever willingly cede power that has been wrested from the people, and that (unfortunately) it will take an armed insurrection to roll back the tyranny. That isn’t advocating for either insurrection or abstinence from the political process. Just an aware observation ...

I like the loons here.

A lot of feds telecommute these days and often “work” at home. You can’t really disconnect their phones. Nor do many agencies want the public to be able to talk with employees; they want the public to use the web instead for all their information needs. lol

It might be easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than to reform Fedzilla.
