Yes, Cruz's amendment was voted down by a massive margin, so there are no protections from Obama tinkering with our immigration laws.

What did Cruz do? He voted for it anyway.

Simple 1 step process

Step 1:

Is authority/power able to be legislated upon IE: Consult the Constitution.

Step 1B:

If NOT, simply refuse to GIVE the authority/power, as it is unconstitutional to begin

Step 2A:

If power is usurped, abused or constrained, use the power of the purse.

Step 2B:

If the above fails, remove from office and/or IMPEACH and/or JAIL
