YALSSS - Yet Another Lemonade Stand Shutdown Story

Once again, the offish, brain-dead bureaucracy shuts down a little girl's lemonade stand. Isn't it wonderful to have government rules against, well, most everything! I'm surprised the SWAT team wasn't called.

I would have thought that if lemonade was sufficiently strong, the acidic nature of it would have PREVENTED any bacteria growth.

How it is we survived so many centuries without laws to protect us from little girls and lemonade stands...

Since they’re not old enough to vote, or tar-and-feather a legislator, I give them a pass.
They should make the lemonade free and have a tip jar for voluntary donations to their cause.
With a little imagination they could even raffle a lemon and end up with enough cash to take Dad to Splash Kingdom.

The lemonade stand was an American institution, the training wheels of capitalism. The kids are learning a different lesson now as the State crushes initiative and demonstrates its authority to intervne in the smallest aspects of their lives. Damn those petty tyrants!

All hail the State, Young Socialist Pioneers! Bow prostrate to your new god!

Overton is a little eye-blink out in the sticks. The population is only about 2500. I’m curious how they could even afford to have a police department.

I sleep better knowing that scofflaws such as these little girls are dealt with swiftly while dozens of attorneys at the IRS who violated the civil rights of US citizens skate.

And still no inquiry into the Clinton Foundation money laundering and bribery machine.

Freaking Tyrants.... As if the Lemonade stand is a real business.

Anyone that enforces this is 100% certified CONTROL FREAK.

I hope the family gets an Attorney and file a law suit on everyone involved. I’m sick of these Tyrants.

Everyone knows this is total B.S.

The sisters plan to try again this weekend. Instead of selling their lemonade, they'll give it away for free and accept donations.

Lol...smart kids!

Andria and Zoey Green told ABC affiliate KLTV they were trying to raise about $100 for a Father's Day present.

What a loving and sweet thing to do for their dad...

The police chief if he had any sense should have coughed up the remaining money they were trying to raise...if he was determined to enforce the law...

The stand would be open with a “free lemonade” and a big tip jar on the table. Any law against that?

A few weeks back, during a brief early spring warm period (before we sank back into a cool and wet spring) I was out walking my dog. I came across two girls selling lemonade and yes, I bought not one but two glasses! Gasp! The horror, the risk!

Hey libtard lurkers out there - I got a cool drink of what turned out to be actually pretty good lemonade. The girls got a $1. My lab made a couple of new friends. Oh, and this'll really make the libtards heads' explode - I bought the lemonade from the girls while carrying my 9mm concealed. Guess what, it didn't jump out of its holster and shoot everyone at the stand.

So, evidently, Texas sucks too. I thought this kind of thing only happened up north.

Sold koolaide. Made money until mom taught me about costs. She charged me for sugar and the koolaide mix. Now I didn’t make money.

Next summer I got a paper route.

"Law of Unintended Consequences"

Basic economics: Pass a law to make it difficult for people to sell fried goats on the street and you will also outlaw little girls' lemonade stands!
