Discovered inside the huge tranche of secretive Obamatrade documents released by Wikileaks are key details on how technically any Republican voting for Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) that would fast-track trade deals like the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal would technically also be voting to massively expand President Obamas executive authority when it comes to immigration matters.
The mainstream media covered the Wikileaks document dump extensively, but did not mention the immigration chapter contained within it, so Breitbart News took the documents to immigration experts to get their take on it. Nobody has figured how big a deal the documents uncovered by Wikileaks are until now. (See below)
The presidents Trade in Services Act (TiSA) documents, which is one of the three different close-to-completely-negotiated deals that would be fast-tracked making up the presidents trade agreement, show Obamatrade in fact unilaterally alters current U.S. immigration law. TiSA, like TPP or the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (T-TIP) deals, are international trade agreements that President Obama is trying to force through to final approval. The way he can do so is by getting Congress to give him fast-track authority through TPA.

None of my commentary was about the bill itself. That's still a Classified State Secret.
My commentary was about the process they are using to enable the bill. That's not a secret to anyone.

He did not vote because his amendments did not pass and he could not vote for it if his amendments did not pass. But as much as I like and admire him, his amendments would have killed the bill. Many think that would be a good thing but its not. Heres why:
TPA or something like it has been wanted a long long time. To understand why it would be good for America I will give you an example of my own personal experience. I was part of a negotiating team to expand T. Boone Pickens company Clean Energy which is a Grade A natural gas company. I was involved in negotiating a 10-year deal with S. Korea (Korea Gas Corporation - KOGAS) who are willing to take every ounce of LNG they can get their hands on. I was also working with authorized trade reps in Amsterdam where the Europeans were begging on hands and knees for American exports of LNG so that they could reduce their dependence on Russian energy supplies.
We have AN ENORMOUS surplus of NG that is exponentially growing. We have so much that in the frack fields or more accurately the shale, the NG that comes up with the oil has to be burned off or flared. In other words it is wasted. And yet we could employ millions of people in secure high-paying jobs by converting the NG to LNG and exporting it to countries and regions that are begging for it and at the same time restrain goons like Putin and his Russian mafia family who control much of the Russian oil and gas that is used to torment Europe.
So its a big deal and it is only one of many big deals. This is why American conservatives are pushing Ted Cruz to get that TPA now for him because its now or never. If Ted Cruz has to wait until 2017 for TPA he will never get it because it will require a new vote and it will require 60 votes in the Senate and the democrats are never going to give enough for 60 votes to hand President Cruz that kind of power that basically empowers conservative industries. Its all clear as a bell in Elizabeth Warrens blog elizabethwarren.com/blog.
But my negotiating team faced Obamas people in FTC who let it be known that it would take 10 years to get an LNG export license. In other words, Obama put the kabosh on all our efforts. Obama doesnt want Americans exporting much of anything except Climate Change Carbon Trading Credits. And he wont get that because he will be out of office before it ever gets near finalization but he knew Hillary could get Climate Change if only millions of illegals could get to the polls to vote democrat. Obama lost his gambit which was really centered around backdoor immigration. Hes not so hot for TPA now. He will likely veto TPA when it gets to his desk.
But Senator Sessions proposed his amendments because his Constituents in Alabama put the heat on him to do so. And theyre not wrong but they are overreacting because it was based on EMOTION and FEAR. And the fear was well-justified when the TPA included provisions for Obama to use to force backdoor amnesty. But Sessions informed Cruz who then took care of it.
Ted Cruz says it all right here (begin time 52:00):

Dick Morris told us about this back in April, before the Senate vote. I wonder how he knew. Good guess, or a leak he couldn’t reveal?
You’re wrong. Cruz’ amendment passed and is in the bill.
It was S. Amdt 1384 to S. Amdt 1221 which passed. Look it up.
Excellent video.
Ann Coulter had a wonderful little comparison of unbridled migration and rape in her book-signing event on Sunday. Too bad I can’t repeat it on this family site.
I wish her book had come out sooner. We’re not getting enough time for that either.
That is wonderful! I assumed they wrong thing by virtue of the continued lambasting of those saying immigration law would be circumvented by this bill. Thank you for providing the correct information. I am relieved.
Hostage just corrected the issue of the Cruz Amendment to protect Immigration Law. It Did Pass! Those who were concerned about our immigration laws being circumvented by Fast Track can check that concern from their list.
The Cruz Amendment was adopted and is part of the TPP Bill. His Amendment precludes any circumvention of U.S. Immigration Law.
Must Read.
.....for later.
I looked and could not find a reference for that.
Do you have one?
“...Unfortunately, Cruz has fallen for Obama’s semantic trick. Obama is not lying when he says that he will not unilaterally change U.S. immigration law because thats not how these trade treaties work!
These treaties don’t amend U.S. law. If any existing U.S. law or regulation violates the treaty, foreign businesses can sue the U.S. government for monetary damages through the treaties Investor-State Dispute Settlement provisions. After a few billion dollars worth of fines, Congress changes the U.S. law.
If Cruz wants to protect the American people, he needs to take away the power of the Investor-State Dispute Settlement provisions in these treaties to assess fines. The dispute settlement provisions of the World Trade Organization prove that fines are not needed that disputes can be handled without requiring that countries give up their sovereignty...”
