If you would take some time for independent study, you would find the article by Serenda...and Cruz's position for that matter...are lies of omission.

For instance: What would be the process for this country to enter into a 10-way international agreement if it were not for TPA?

Knowing with TPA it takes only 51 votes in the Senate to pass TPP, have you read the draft agreement? Does it include any supranational organizations adjudicating US Law and compliance with the "Treaty"?

I could list ;dozens of really good questions not addressed in the article you cite.

Don't be dumb. Do your own research.

And "Don't get fooled again"!

it is apparent that the soonest Congress could vote to implement the TPP is early 2016, with the distinct and growing possibility that the matter will fall to a lame duck session or to the next president and the 115th Congress.

This bulletin describes the status of TPA and TPP, provides some background, and fleshes out some of the issues that could impact the trade agenda in the weeks and months ahead.

One thing I don’t get is how fast track circumvents the Article II Section 2 requirement for 2/3rds Senate concurrence.
