No - not true. The Ady Gill had engine problems at the time and the whaler accelerated and turned into it. It was deliberate collision and of course, the Japanese lied about it to the world.
Didn’t have any problems churning up a very visual clue it wasn’t dead in the water. Nor did it’s quick but not in time movement show it to be dead in the water.
Lying about what anyone with eyes can see is not helping your position.
