First all, I was referring to national politics. If you recall my original post, I said that once the GOP wins the WH and Congress in ‘16, the ‘bad old days’ will have been revealed as the new bad old days and the local politicians and media will happily spew the propaganda that it’s all their fault.
I said nothing about local elections, although the fact that DeBlasio could even come close to winning an election says volumes about the NYC electorate right there. Especially after 9/11.
You seem to be debating a point I never made. If you want to believe New Yorkers will ultimately blame liberalism or socialism or illegal immigration or Marxist Democratic politicians when the crime wave goes out of control, then fine. Maybe you’re right. I happen to disagree.
Have a nice day.
Why are you so angry? I never said they’d blame liberalism. I said they’d blame the mayor as an individual. The problem with NYC is that the Republican party in the state is decimated and corrupt and so can never put up decent candidates. And the other choices that NYers had after Bloomberg was a sex fiend and an alcoholic lesbian. No normal person wanted to run for the mayoralty. Have a nice day and a tip o’ the hat to you.
