The host of a Texas pool party that led to the suspension of a police officer says things took a turn for the violent when a neighbor began hurling racial slurs and insults at party-goers.
A woman identified as Tatiana Rhodes, 19, said that she and some friends had organized and were enjoying the party at the Craig Ranch North Community Pool on June 5 when the conflict with a white neighbor broke out.
This lady was saying racial slurs to some friends that came to the cookout. She was saying such things as black effer and thats why you live in Section 8 homes, Rhodes told E. Johnson IV, a photographer who recorded the conversation and uploaded it online.
More insults were traded. One neighbor said go back to your Section 8 home, Rhodes said, referring to a form of federal housing assistance for low-income people.
Then, according to Rhodes, who is black, a white neighbor came up to me and smacked me in my face.
Thats when both of the women attacked me, the teen said....

Posted elsewhere by a friend of a friend / resident of the neighborhood involved:
“A DJ setup in a public space next to the private pool in our neighborhood on Friday and played loud explicit (F-bomb) music for multiple hours (it is unclear if he was invited by a resident as no one has claimed responsibility). The teenagers (both black and white) were being brought into our neighborhood by the carload because the DJ was tweeting out invites to a pool party for $15 (obviously unauthorized by our neighborhood). The teens began fighting with each other and pushing their way into our private pool. Some were jumping our fence. The security guard was accosted when he tried to stop the beginnings of this mob scene. Some residents who live around the park/pool area tried to come out and settle things down. The teens started yelling racial slurs at our neighbors and started assaulting people and property (throwing bottles at cars and attacking a mother at the pool with 3 young children). The first officer on the scene was by himself. At that time, the party had grown to a large, aggressive crowd. As the officer arrived, many teens started running through our neighborhood. Many of the teens were being very aggressive and yelling at the officers as more arrived.
This was a very dangerous situation for the officers AND the teens/residents not involved. The news media has refused to hear the neighborhoods side of this story. The video being distributed is only a very small segment of what happened. This information being distributed by the media and others is extremely distorted and in some cases outright lies.
The media is trying to make it look like our neighborhood is a whites only, racist area. Anyone who has spent even a few minutes in our area knows this is an outright LIE.
The unfortunate result is that our neighbors are now being threatened. We have also had cars and property in and around the park area vandalized this weekend. Unfortunately, the press and social media are trying to enflame the situation.”
“Go back to your Section 8 home.”
“Hands up, don’t shoot.”
The DJ needs to get paid, after all.
It appears that it was a party thrown by a 19yo black girl and a coupla friends, far more people than invited and/or allowed by HOA pool rules showed up, and things got out of hand
Judging by the paucity of info as to what happened at the pool, i can only surmise that the kids were reciting Chaucer or perhaps the Bard, and playing Go or backgammon.
Basically, 30-40+ kids show up at a pool, with at least 1 resident (the 19 yo), maybe her friends are residents too. prolly waaaayyyyy too many ppl for the number of residents involved
And the media can rot in hell. Their day will come.
the Project X party ended badly too...wonder if it inspired these teens?

It was a private park and pool at a Homeowners Association. The rule is that you can bring TWO guests and anyone under 16 has to be accompanied by a parent. Additionally, if you want to hold a party there, you have to get a permit and pay a fee.
The skank who was making money advertising and hosting the party to strangers on social media broke ALL those rules, and the dozens of “guests” flash mobbed the pool when they were told they couldn’t use it according to the rules. They became abusive, vulger and destructive. The homeowners at the pool stood up to them and, of course, the party goers ran riot.
I refuse to click on the WaPo link. Just tell me if the WaPo gets around to informing its readers of the insults Tatiana and her friends hurled.
I don’t understand why this is referred to as a “pool party”: the organizer had no permission to use the pool for such a party.
So out of the chute, the MSM says she was a young girl? or is the video of the police slam a different female than the 19 year-old woman? the MSM as usual fans flames without all the information and disingenuously so.

What do you think?
If I had to guess I’d say the ComPost only provides the slurs mademoiselle Rhodes says were aimed at her and her fellow cherubs.
It was an undocumented pool party.
She didn’t have permission to throw a party at the pool, didn’t pay the required fees and it is estimated that she had six or seven times too many attendees even if she had gotten permission. Yet the media will be so on her side that it’ll make you rub your eyes in disbelief.
The pool in question is a facility for residents only. It is NOT a public pool. It is surrounded by an 8’ metal barred fence and has card-controlled entry (for residents).
The cop over reacted.
The genesis of this event was caused by non-residents climbing over the fence.......trespassing. It had nothing to do with race. I’ve worked at this facility and it is normally a tranquil place for the people who live there. From all reports, the “pool party” got WAY out of hand and the MPD was called......
............as they should have been.
