The TPP Trade Deal and World Government
CHQ ^ | 6/8/2015 | George Rasley

Posted on 06/08/2015 6:39:45 AM PDT by xzins

Principled limited government constitutional conservative Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama has made clear a point we have been hammering on in several other contexts, especially the Corker bill on Iran’s nuclear weapons program and Obama’s executive amnesty program: these attacks on American sovereignty can only succeed if Congress cedes its power to President Obama, who has made no bones about his preference for multilateral world governance over American sovereignty.

Star Wars Storm Troopers

The establishment media and the DC political elite would like Americans to believe that anyone who expresses concern about the erosion of American sovereignty is some oddball “prepper” who is locked away in a mountaintop redoubt muttering about “one world government” while stocking up on food and ammunition.

While stocking up on food and ammo doesn’t sound like a bad idea, we don’t have a mountaintop redoubt. But from the perspective of our modest suburban DC office building the continued erosion of American sovereignty – which has accelerated to a dizzying pace during the Barack Obama presidency – can only be stopped in one place: the House Republican Conference.

As our friend Alabama’s principled limited government constitutional conservative Jeff Sessions recently observed, “…the United States is a country—not an economy. And a country’s job is to protect its citizens—whether from military attacks, or from unfair trade policies that threaten the economic well-being of its own people.”

What’s more says Sessions, "Under fast-track, Congress transfers its authority to the executive and agrees to give up several of its most basic powers.

"These concessions include: the power to write legislation, the power to amend legislation, the power to fully consider legislation on the floor, the power to keep debate open until Senate cloture is invoked, and the constitutional requirement that treaties receive a two-thirds vote.

"The latter is especially important since, having been to the closed room to review the secret text of the Trans-Pacific Partnership, it is clear it more closely resembles a treaty than a trade deal.

"In other words, through fast-track, Congress would be pre-clearing a political and economic union before a word of that arrangement has been made available to a single private citizen."

Sessions has made clear a point we have been hammering on in several other contexts, especially the Corker bill on Iran’s nuclear weapons program and Obama’s executive amnesty program: these attacks on American sovereignty can only succeed if Congress cedes its power to Obama, who has made no bones about his preference for multilateral world governance over American sovereignty.

In addition to appointing officials (and Supreme Court Justices) who believe “international law” can and should trump the U.S. Constitution, Obama Administration officials have also embraced a whole series of international treaties that undermine American sovereignty.

The model for these pernicious attacks on American sovereignty is the Law of the Sea Treaty which transfers jurisdiction over the high seas to a new United Nations entity (the Seabed Authority) that would be self-governing without an American veto power over its actions. By imposing taxes on mineral production it will provide an endless stream of revenue for all kinds of international mischief and corruption, mostly at the expense of American companies as Jeffrey B. Gayner, Chairman of Americans for Sovereignty noted in remarks to CPAC back in 2010.

As Senator Sessions has pointed out, the TPP creates a new transnational governance structure known as the Trans-Pacific Partnership Commission. The details of this new governance commission are extremely broad and have the earmarks of a nascent European Union, with many similarities.

"Reviewing the secret text [of the TPP], plus the secret guidance document that accompanies it, reveals that this new transnational commission - chartered with a 'Living Agreement' clause - would have the authority to amend the agreement after its adoption, to add new members, and to issue regulations impacting labor, immigration, environmental, and commercial policy.

"Under this new commission, the Sultan of Brunei would have an equal vote to that of the United States,” said Sessions.

And more to the point, in ratifying the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the Senate would have given up its power to object to any of these future “Living Agreement” provisions, effectively abrogating the U.S. Constitution’s Article I, Section 1 provision that “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States…” and its Article I, Section 8 powers to tax and regulate commerce to name but two of the more obvious erosions of American sovereignty in the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

“The implications of this new Pacific Union are extraordinary and ought to be discussed in full, in public, before Congress even contemplates fast-tracking its creation and pre-surrendering its power to apply the constitutional two-thirds treaty vote,” Sessions wrote to Obama in a letter reported by Breitbart’s Matt Boyle. “In effect, to adopt fast-track is to agree to remove the constitutional protections against the creation of global governance structures before those structures are even made public.

“I would therefore ask that you provide to me the legal and constitutional basis for keeping this information from the public and explain why I cannot share the details of what I have read with the American people. Congress should not even consider fast-tracking the transfer of sovereign power to a transnational structure before the details of that new structure are made fully available for public review.”

After the Senate passed the deal a couple weeks ago, the House could vote as early as this week. We urge CHQ readers to call their Senators and Representative (the Capitol Switchboard is 1-866-220-0044) to demand they vote “NO” on TPA and “NO” on the Trans Pacific Partnership unless and until their provisions guarantee there is no surrender of American sovereignty, the deal is made public and disinterested studies of the economic benefits to American workers and quality of life are conducted.

Make no mistake about the real intent here:

It is to ban guns in the US using this as a ‘treaty’.

Then if we ‘violate’ they can send foreign troops after us, who will NOT hesitate to kill, unlike American troops.

That is what this TPP is all about, and the other Democrats, the ones they call Republicans, are all-in.

In a nation purporting to be ruled by “We the People” it seems surreal that one man claims the authority to override the law of Man and the Laws of Nature’s God to impose a dictatorship upon us. He can do it if there is no opposition.

I do not see anyone even pointing this out on the Republican or Democratic side of the aisle. They will not challenge what they do not choose to see.

That was what the slogan for 2014 elections was, wasn't? Elect Republicans and they will stop Obama's agenda. Well, as far as I can tell, no republicans were elected, because Obama's agenda sure as hell was not stopped. wasn't even slowed down for that matter.

.....”Obama, has made no bones about his preference for multilateral world governance over American sovereignty”.....

Unfortunately the majority in our congress are supporting ‘Multilateral World Governance”.....any difference among our representatives is between those who seek the best deals ‘this nation’ within the Global Governance and those who like Obama do not see borders or sovereignty of a nation ..."Spreading the Wealth Around" etc.

One 5000 year leap forward, two 5000 year leaps backward.

In the span of just 250 years.

How any responsible conservative could vote for anything being kept secret from the people is absolutely beyond me.

Nationally and locally seems like here in NV. “Squandered” comes to mind when I look back at the last (s)election. The republicants were (s)elected and controlled both houses and the Gov “mansion”. Just like the demonkkkrats. Promises made, fingers crossed, promises unkept. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Surrendering one ounce of American sovereignty to an international body will guarantee a vote against them. Ted Cruz had better be listening.

I am so sick of the republican party. It might be time for a few conservatives to run as democrats (in more conservative areas). Otherwise, the republicans will keep sending us their Thads, Mitchs and Boehners. We need to break this corrupt system.

Now you are understanding. The Republican Party has the same end goal as the Democrat Party. The Democrat Party will get one to that goal quicker.

While we worry about Islam, a one-world government is being installed piece by piece behind closed doors, with secret laws, and secret agreements, secretly arrived at, between parties unknown to the People.

The worst part is that both parties are acquiescing in this turnover of our God-given rights. A single person cannot subvert the Constitution or impose a dictatorship. He needs the help of those in power.

We need to wake up.

What’s more says Sessions, "Under fast-track, Congress transfers its authority to the executive and agrees to give up several of its most basic powers.

Which it does not have the lawful power to do.

The Clintons have been traveling Internationally for years now....more than any other while she was at State. The story was this was Obama’s way to keep the Clintons occupied away from our nation, when in fact she and Bill have been working with other nation leaders in continuing to build and position for a One World Governance......with in mind she will be the next President and continue fast tracking this agenda.

If Hillary wins....we are defiantly done as a Sovereign Nation unto itself.

Uh, who’s worried about a bunch of rag tag dissidents who just want more and better ($15.00+/HR?) job opportunities? :>} Sadly, there are too many folks more worried about the kardouchians than mundane yawners like Agenda 21, nwo, trade deals, etc., etc., etc.
