Not about idols, it about glass houses, stones and Freepers who think they are above it all. You don’t watch TV? Well good for you, does that make you feel superior?
It makes me not know who these people are, contrary to the fervent assertions of their worshipers. I don't “want to tear these people down” and I don't “feel superior” to them because I have no clue about them.
When the story hit the news I expressed sympathy for some girls who had been sexually molested by their pervert brother. I have been attacked for expressing the same sentiment I express any time a sexual assault case hits the news.
And I was attacked for that alone.
I didn't show up demanding the man involved be locked away, I simply acknowledged that a pervert had sexually assaulted some girls and that I empathize with them.
The Duggar worshipers have made that his all about Josh, and will not countenance anyone sympathizing with that his he girls...because sympathizing with that the girls is in some twisted way an attack on Josh.
Biblically, these are people who would insist that expressing sympathy for Uriah and his men after they were murdered by King David has to mean that the person sympathizing with Uriah and his men has to somehow hate King David, and think David wasn't forgiven by God. This is an exact parallel of the Josh a duggar worshipper’s line of discussion. They are disgusting in their insistence that people remain silent.
